Hatton has only come onto the radar over here in the US in the past year maybe. I really am not into boxing so much but it's be fun listening to the hype on here about Hatton. My mates who are into watching 'Big Fights' over here in the US could probably tell you nothing about Hatton. I know he likes Man City so that to me means he probably doesn't like Man Utd. That's why I could find a reason to root for him. I knew Mayweather is the man but I was trying to find a reason to like Hatton. He get's no hype over here."What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin' on around here?" - Taggart AKA Slim Pickens in Blazing Saddles

Mayweather was amazing. Incredible accuracy, power and control. Great energy consevation and he really boxed in the true sense of the word Worthy pound for pound greatest.
Hatton has a heart of a lion and just lacked the nous to make his gameplan work. Seemed to get frustrated with Mayweathers deliberate spoiling tactics. Good effort but the better boxer won."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Answer my question. If you were a fighter who'd proven themself and had a chance to fight one of the greats in a big fight for both money and glory or fight a glorified ****ing joke like Junior Witter what would you do?
Witter needs Hatton and not the other way around.
Tell me what's Witter done in his career?
Not mincing words but Hatton went after Mayweather before time.
No one in their right minds had Hatton to win that fight.
Even Hatton himself knew he MIGHT be in with a chance BUT.....
He's avoided Witter and he didn't need to.

No, Hatton carved out his career and was prepared to fight the best avaiable, Tszyu, Castillo, Mayweather etc... while Witter was struggling to decisions over Colin Lynes and Demarcus Corley.Originally posted by Shanks007 View PostBut Hatton avoided him...

Ohh well it's nights like this to restore my faith in boxing. My wife and I really love MMA but nothing beats the big 'fight nights'. Just wish Ricky could have acted a little more professional during his post-fight interview. Accuse a guy on not being a hard puncher (In the words of Divo 'You were knocked the **** out') and don't accuse someone of cheap shots

Kurt, Witter has been after Hatton for ages so why not the fight???
It ain't all about the money...
Hatton and his promo team have ducked and dived with Witter...
Why???

Q: What do Ricky Hatton and Liverpool Football Club have in common?
A: Both are owned by rich Americans.
Sorry mates. Had to.
Floyd stopped him cold; Superior boxing skill. Despite being an egomaniac, Floyd's gloves back his mouth up every time. It can get a little nauseating, but he's a great fighter. Fair play to Hatton, he used what got him here, but it wasn't enough. Nice to see the man from Michigan (my home state) win this fight; On to Cotto, which will be amazing. Ricky is an excellent sportsman and a gutsy fighter, I hope to see him fight again very soon.
and now... just to get back in good graces...
Q: What do Floyd Mayweather and Liverpool Football Club have in common?
A: They both beat the **** out of Mancs.
