Fights out of the Kronk gym in the states. Thats the first I have heard of Hatton possibly being trained by steward, but to be honest, he could probably do with it. Hatton over rates himself as a technical fighter.
Apparently, and this is by no means concrete info, Hatton and his family have been disillusioned by Billy Graham's training techniques for quite some time.

They felt that the head down steam in tactics are wrong and who could argue. Hatton is a good 'boxer'. You might think I'm daft in saying that but if you look back at his fights against Phillips, Tackie, Oliviera etc... you can see that the lad can box.

They apparently want to go with a trainer who can brng that side out in him again and can develop a more strategic fight plan.

As I said it's rumor but the rumors are growing.

Well to be honest, I have been wondering before the Mayweather fight watching the 24/7 of Hatton just how good billy grahams training techniques were. I know we obviously didn't get to see the full workout, but just what exactly is Grahams record pre Hatton?. I don't know enough about him to be honest, but I would imagine he falls some distance short of being a world class coach.
I do agree Hatton can box, he has a wide variety of punches, but his rush in tactics have to be much more calculated, well against Mayweather type opposition anyway which thankfully for Hatton there is not too much of.
Is it all in vain though? He is in the twilight of his career, I guess it is a worth whie investment looking to train with a top class coach even if the retun is limited, atleast it is something extra.
I do genuinely worry about Hatton at Welterweight, th fears I had for him before are still not gone. He should take that offer of a fight from Paul Malignaggi, Ricky should put him away and restore some pride.
I see Malignaggi with 12 rounds against Cotto last year, so he can't be all that bad.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

To be honoest, I don't mind that, would just like to see him beef up a tiny bit and carry a little more power. Although it does look ironic me saying that looking at the knockout, and yes, I have seen a limited amount of him in the ring.
Himself and duddy should be a good contest and should sort out who is the up and coming super middleweight.
        Yep.
Seeing how yourself and Kurtangle have said it's not that much of a problem for him - I'll take the word of the experts. Seriously though - it was only an observation of mine.

            I feel enlightened now !!

You and Bazza know more about boxing than me, so I value your opinions.

Me and bazza should start charging for such quality analysis.

For what it's worth though it was a good point about being to upright. I haven't seen that much of Andy Lee. It could be his height that dictates how his posture is in the ring? What I liked though was that his gloves are always up which lessens the target for his opponent. Amir Khan and Ricky Hatton carry their gloves far to low and we all saw what happened to Ricky and Amir against Mayweather and and Limmond respectively when you do that.

Hopefully this lad Andy Lee makes the step up and gets to world level. I'd like to see more of him but as he's Irish he doesn't get shown over here which is a shame. No doubt Sky or Setanta will jump on the bandwagon if he manages to secure a fight with the winner of Taylor Vs Pavlik.

              P.S.

Just seen an interview with Hatton where he says that Billy Graham will continue as his coach / trainer.

cheers Howard. I wouldn't say I know more about boxing though. I just love the sport and anything got to do with Martial Arts really. Makes great viewing.
For the record, if you lads want to see his fights, you can watch them live over the internet for free. RTE is available online free as far as I know, in pretty good quality too.

don't think we would get much though Scot, a few odds perhaps lol.
I am surprised Ricky has had to come out and declare he is staying with graham, he mus have been under a bit of pressure to seek extra guidance.
