No mate, no-one should feel sorry for the Aussies, but the point is you lot seem to think the Aussies are the only ones who behave like that, when it's clearly not the case. I just think as well that everyone who is on the Indian side in the debate very quickly brushes over the possibility of Singh again using racist remarks. I love sledging - is it not true that some of the greatest sledges ever have come from the mouths of English and West Indian players? Where is the furore over that? It just smacks of tall-poppy syndrome.

Bottom line IMO is that the allegation against Singh should be proven, not just by the Aussie players because their integrity is in question given their own conduct in the last test.

Otherwise they should shut the **** up and get on with the next game, get 2 NEUTRAL ****in umpires in and play some ****in cricket.

To make it as clearly as possible to the mentally retarded, I'm not saying it's acceptable, I'm just saying how it should have been dealt with. I'm also saying that I've no doubt Symond's (as an example of ONE Aussie) sledging over the years is just as offensive, but doesn't involve race so is apparently ok.

I also caveated what I said - if Harbi knew what he said and was genuinely trying to racially abuse Symonds, then fine he's bang out of order and should be banned. But we only have the words of not exactly the most trustworthy people that this happened and can't see any video or audio.

We're ALL speculating..... although you've tried and convicted him already without this

However, I have no reason to disbelieve Symonds that a racist remark was aimed at him. People coming out with this crap like “the Aussies can dish it out but they don’t like it back” baffle me – racist abuse is NOT sledging.

Regarding the Aussies, I do believe they’ve taken this “competitiveness” too far. Batsmen shouldn’t walk in my opinion, but claiming catches that have clearly grounded is ****ing cheating.

In short, neither side has covered themselves in glory in this latest debacle.

Seriously I can see what you lot are saying about the Aussies pushing the rules and being intimidating, but I truly believe that Symonds would never accuse someone of something so serious if it were not the case. I also think that it is definitely up to the umpires and the match referee to get the decisions right, no matter what kind of calls are made by the players. Otherwise why have them out there? To say that they give the decisions because of intimidation is to say that they should never be out there in the first place.

Normally I avoid them like disco avoids black people, but for some reason this has really got my back up. I wouldn't mind, I'm Irish. I'm not even supposed to like the bloody sport. It just seems that everyone is focused on the "unsportsmanlike behaviour" of Australia, instead of the fact that there is a possibility that someone was racially abused. They also seem to think that no other team would act the way the Aussies do on the field and to me that's hypocritical.

I just think that is such a weak point. He said it in English, in a country which is English speaking to an English-speaking Australian. If he said it, it was obviously meant to offend and therefore if he is going to use offensive terms then he ought to know what their meaning is to that person.
