Should be an interesting night for the heavyweights.
Am looking forward to seeing Brock Lesnar fight in the UFC, never thought I would see it. Will have his work cut out against Frank Mir though who will have a better standup and be better off his back. Really hard to call despite Mir's extra octagon experience.
I would love to see Nogueira beating Silvia, would just like to see a well rounded heavyweight fighter as world heavyweight champion. I think Silvia will beat him though.
Will be good to see Jeremy horn back in the Octagon, 107 MMA fights
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Silvia will win a boring jab fest as per usual, although Big Nog has a chance with his supperior boxing if he can get on the inside, i think submissions are out of the question due to poopy pant's size.

Lesner will GnP Mir out. Mir isn't the same fighter he was before the motorcycle accident (check out his belly! The UFC are using a picture of him from 2004 to promote the fight!).

Pretty average card if you ask me, nothing stands out as being a classic, i hope to be proved wrong though.

Sunday night on Bravo, no sign of the touted live Setanta coverage.

At 6 '3 he's a big lad alright. Maybe i'm a little off saying he won't be able to submit Timmy. Nog has a win by triangle over Semmy Schilt and he's enormous!

I hope Mir wins, would love to see him back to his best.

Agree about Lesner Baz, Mir is no pushover but Lesner is physically a ****in' monster!! Hard one to call tbh and it'll be interesting to see if Brock has any sort of a decent chin

Really looking forward to this event

                4.7 second forty yard dash
                35 inch vertical leap
over 10 feet standing broad jump

Have doubted whether Lesnar can make the transition into the upper tier of MMA - always found it hard to take him seriously after the WWF, however he IS a monster and I'm looking forward to seeing how he's done. Although Mir is only a shadow of his former self (not physically of course ) he is still a dangerous opponent so it won't be an easy fight for Brock. That said, I think Mir is about as exciting to watch as Tim Silvia as if he doesn;t get the win withing the first 3 monutes he's knackered

Speaking of Tim, I hope he gets the bo~~ox knocked out of him by Nogueira, he is the one fighter I can't stand watching, everything in slow motion and although extremely dangerous, doesn't look like a real fighter
At a football club there's a holy trinity- the players the manager and the supporters, Directors dont come into it, they are only there to sign the cheques " - Bill Shankly

Yeah, I've seen all of his fights from pride and a few from the early days in brazil. Unfortunately his iron jaw won't stop Sylvia Boring his way to another decision.....god i hate Timmy! Nog really struggled with Heath Herring in his UFC debut, he was lucky the fight wasn't stopped at one point. I just feel Nog will struggle to take Sylvia down which will mean that most of the fight will be spent with Timmy backing up and using his enormous reach advantage to throw nothing but jabs and send us all to sleep!

I really hope i'm wrong though!

Well for me Nog stands out as one of the the fighters who has really impressesed me over the years and I class myself now as a bit of a MMA anorak, that said I hear you about Tim Silva ... if this is another **** hug feast I think Danna will kick him out ... people just do not want to see his fights ...

But then again unlike Boxing MMA is all about the Middle weights if you ask me .. The Bigger guys just gaz so easily ... when you really get into MMA you start to view muscle mass as a slight disadvantage sometimes ..its all about balance ,that said Silva is just a lug of a man

I do feel slightly sorry for him sometimes ... i dont think he deserves the level of abuse he gets ... then again the American Fan base are a bunch piss up tourists who would not know a Alma Plata from an Avocado..

Still at the end of the day its blokes in a cage knocking the **** out of each other ... whats not to like about that

I prefer the Gogo-plata myself, however you need to use the rubber guard for that to be effective, so it's very rarely seen (unless you're watch Nick Diaz).

Always good to meet another MMA anorak.

                              Wasn't on UK/Irish TV.
From what I have seen of him so far, he looks very talented, even if a little lightweight.
