Not everyone is a bandwagon patriots fan. I have supported them ever since I first really got into NFL about 7 or 8 years ago.

Am gutted to lose but going by performance, the giants deserved it. They hardly gave Tom Brady the room to breathe and there is not much more I can say about Eli Manning's 32 yard pass when he very nearly got sacked.

That play won them the superbowl!!!!!!!

fair play, you joined the cause before the glory years so the last few seasons must have been sweet for you. i'll save my rant against plastic patriot fans- to me they're identical to all those plastic glory hunting united fans everyone loathes so much. it's weird how everything has come full circle- the pats first win against the rams they were the underdogs no one gave a chance

that play you're talking about is one of the most incredible in football history! avoiding the sack, the throw, the catch- at that stage of the game- was unbelievable

OK, I as a Brit can actually watch most Yank sports without getting bored or confused, but as a Brit i appreciate the egg chasers who play rugby more then the stop start American football.

Well I certainly agree about the start stop nature of NFL. The super bowl is definitely the worst but every nfl game is that way. Just think, the clock only runs for 60 minutes, yet a regular game takes more than 3 and half hours to contest usually. For example when a touch down is scored, there is an break after the score and then another after the resulting kickoff. So there is like 20 seconds of game sandwiched in about 10 mins of ads every time a team scores. Of course the nature of the game is stop start. But is what makes the games so complicated. Bc they are able to huddle up before each play, its like every thing they do is an extremely complicated set piece with 11 guys all playing a part. For every play.

I think its funny that you guys can't believe the mid-play sideline reporters and stuff, bc thats how everything is over here. I was watching my local NFL club (the Bengals) in a game last season and it was just after the Vick hates dogs thing, and they actually had a sideline reporter talking about Vick, who wasnt even playing in the game, when a touchdown was scored and they made no mention of it. With ESPN, the game is just there so they have some nonsense to spout out their gob, not bc we actually want to watch the game.

Aside from the obvious superiority of the sport you can see why I have focused my passion on football.

Perhaps the Americans are being a little presumptuous declaring the Giants as the world champs but i suppose it could be presumptuous of Sky / BBC to declare the FA cup as the worlds greatest knock-out competition or that the Premiership is the worlds greatest league.

It has been great!!!!! Who wouldnt be happy when the team you support is winning everthing and is the top team!!!

Was gutted about losing on sunday, but, the Giants truly deserved it. More hunger, more desire and the pressure didnt get to Manning as it did to Brady!!!!
