Shaq to PHX Marion to MIA

    I'm a Lakers fan s this trade is good news for me. I'm happy to that Marion gone from the Western conference he's a ****ing pain in the ass to play against. I love Shaq, we went to the same university but he's a shadow of his former dominating self and he can't stay healthy. I don't see how the Suns transition high tempo game can accomodate Shaq, maybe they think this trade can get them past the Spurs and also the Lakers now that we've got Gasol, Odom and Bynum all tall, long and athletic players.

    Anyway, the trophy is coming back home LA this year and it will feel really good beating the Celtics in the final.

      i'd love to see a Celtics v Lakers finals series.

      It just looks right doesnt it on paper.

      Although as a Boston man i'd want the Celts to win obviously. We need a mature PG to back up Rondo though. Cassell is the obvious choice....but he says he's not buying himself out.

        watch out for Utah this season, Kirilenko + Boozer + Okur will all do well

          Korver has really added something to their team.

          Before he was there they didnt have a solid outside shooter, that teams were forced to keep in check. Since he was aquired they have gone 15-2 or somthing like that.

          Teams now cant just purely concentrate of stopping the pick and roll from Boozer and Deron....they have to guard against Korver's lights out shooting ability. If they leave him open, he will nail the three every time.

          BTW Utah are my western Conference team. Was a fan during the Malone- Stockton days

          Boston is my numero uno though.

          The NBA has gotten really exciting again in recent years. It became stale when the last wave of greats all started to get on in years (Jordan, Malone, Kemp, Hardaway, Olajuwon etc) This new wave of talent has been great for the game.

          This next draft is going to be crazy too. Beasley, Rose, Gordon and Mayo all have a legitimate chance of being true superstars. There is then the other lottery picks like Hibbert who will become dominant players.

          Oden hasnt even played a game yet either.

            BTW Marion had a stellar debut for the Heat today.

            15pts, 14boards, 4 dimes, 3 steals, 3 blocks

            Anyone here play fantasy NBA BTW?

            Ive played the past 5 years. Its way better than fantasy football(soccer). Only one team gets each player, and you have a live draft for your players.

            I would love it if someone would do this for fantasy football. Have it like a real life scenario, transfers and the like.

              Utah have great basketball history. Yeah K Korver has a terrific shot on him. who are some other players you are liking this year? gotta say Brandon Wright has stepped up at Golden State and also Turkuglu(sp?) has really shined.

                Cant wait for shaq to get fit, the amount of rebounds he and amare will pull down will be incredible :O

                  You sure you mean Brandon Wright? He has barely played for them mate. Turk has been great so far.

                  Monta Ellis is looking real good, Dwight Howard has been a beast for Orlando. Al Jefferson is becoming dominant too. I really like Ray Felton, but the Bobcats have 2 ball hogs (Richardson and Wallace), who dont let Felton handle the ball like he should. He would be right up there with Paul and Deron in the assist column if he didnt have these two on his team. Another guy i like alot is Lou Williams from Phili. He is a Monta Ellis type SG, but with a nice three point shot.

                  I would love it if Orlando traded for Felton. Howard and Felton would be unstoppable IMO. Boozer and Deron are great.....but Howard and Felton would be insane

                  not likely to happen though

                  Durant has looked good too, he just needs to pick his shots better. The kid will be a genuine superstar. He has everything.

                    haha yeah i know he's a rookie but he's playing amazing! Tyrus Thomas is also only a sophomore and i like him this year.

                      Cassel is 37, he's too old to make any difference in the playoffs even off the bench. You do need a point though, Jason Kidd would be ideal for you.

                      It desn't really matter though - Kobe + Odom + Bynum + Gasol = UNSTOPPABLE !!!

                          He had the sharpest elbows in the game. Loved it

                          Boston will have to give up way to much for Kidd, so i very much doubt they will even try....but wow could you imagine Kidd, Garnett, Pierce and Ray Allen Thats untsoppable

                          Cassell may be old, but 'Sam I Am' can still play. He has a lights out jumper from about 20 feet too. Rondo isnt the best shooter....so teams tend to drift of him and guard Garnett, Pierce and Allen. If Cassell was there they couldnt leave him...he would nail the shot everytime

                            Told you Kidd would be traded soon.

                            Back to Dallas to team up with Dirk and Howard.

                            The West is looking unbelievable. LA, SA, Phoenix, Dallas, Utah, Houston...any of them could win it.

                                anyone follow college ball? saw a replay of UConn and georgia tech last night, Hasheem Thabeet was crazy good, 7'3 sophomore...
