. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
They made 470 off 138 overs. We're 286-6 off 136 overs.
Truly abysmal against a poor Test team.
Considering how many runs NZ put on yesterday it was very slow going for England today, especially between lunch and tea. To be fair Patel and Vettori bogged the England batsmen down, but overall it was poor stuff indeed.
I saw some of it last night and KP hit his third ball for 6. So much for the supposed acceleration.
I saw that. It must have been during a break in the darts.

Yeah it looks bleak for Harmy, but I agree with Nasser & Beefy - there's no use in dropping him now. We've picked him and flown him here, there and everywhere - give him the series to show what he can do. If it's dross all the way then he's history.
Can't wait for tonight - live cricket & boxing from 9pm. Marvellous.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
He's still a useful bowler in the right conditions, to consign him to oblivion on the back of a series which probably isn't going to give him a wicket that suits him would be harsh.
