It was a crazy couple of nights.

Watched both shows back earlier, the production team killed loads of the crowd chants on the network for both nights. I was astonished how quiet the crowd sounded on the TV for both shows, in comparisson to being there. That venue is amazing for it... but there wasnt a great deal else to do in Blackpool over the weekend, but still well worth the 9 hour round trip and a combined cost £58 for tickets for both nights. The mrs and I are on screen for most of the show second night, including a couple of lingering close ups... the production staff must have exquisite taste.

One of the guys I'm going with did the same thing. I bought tickets for both nights instead of going for VIP, I was in there so early that we have great seats for both nights.

So it turns out the seats I booked for the UK Championship are VIP as well so I've got a meet and greet at 4.00pm before the show!

    Unexpected, but pretty cool nonetheless!

    Or something.

Anyway, there are still good matches in WWE. Lets not forget WK11 was their Wrestlemania and this was the main event
I'm voting with my wallet if WWE screw another Mania season. Last year was truely terrible... my subscription to the network is on the line in a falls count anywhere, don't make me sit through 8 hours of tedium, Reigns with the belt snooze fest.

Omega was helping by selling them with twisting - spinning bumps. The guy is a star in waiting... can't wait for the Stamford lot to neuter his move set and bury him on the mid card.

It was great... but is Okada's finisher really a short clothesline!?

You're probably too young to remember the original Saturday afternoon WoS wrestling

I've heard that there is a resurgence - I know a couple of people bang into it, one even competed for a while himself.

It was filmed in a TV Studio I think and the tickets were given away for free. So itll probably reflect that I guess.

Its a shame, because British Wrestling is going through a bit of a boom period in general. Its far more athletic than its ever been and people knowing what it is, means people seem to enjoy it more.

I guess you wont be interested in General. But checkout PROGRESS and ICW. Both UK promotions with a good following. PROGRESS especially is rapidly expanding. Its got a decent aesthetic.

Obviously not everyone will be interested, but its far less of a joke to the general population now than it was even 5 years ago IMO.

The crowd reminded me of Gladiators

Looked like there were only about 200 people there. Very low rent.

Yeah, thought it was a bit crap really. Bit Butlins compared to whats done nowadays. Was OK, but I cant see it catching on.
