I don't mind the Goldberg push when its done right but WWE have a tendency to take really ordinary wrestlers (at best) who physically look the part and then throw them straight into the main event after they beat a few jobbers. I wish they would use the intercontinental belt a bit better and use it as a testing ground to see if these newbies can get over in the first place.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostReminds me of Matt Morgan really, has the physical tools but just lacks that certain something and his matches never have a good flow either.
TBH I hate the Goldberg push, it worked... sort of... once but it should never be repeated.

September 22nd 1997 to December 27th 1998. 173 matches.
For what it's worth, I quite like Ryback although it's FAR too early to give him the title and I'm not sure how the character will work if he loses.

TNA tried that with Crimson, FAlL written all over it and he vanished after losing having had nowhere to really go with his character (or lack of)
You been watching any TNA of late dude?

This is tough booking. Ryback is over to an extent. He's squashed a bunch of jobbers and is undefeated but hasn't fought over 5 mins and looked good or fought against someone who would make him look good like a Danielson for a program. He's very limited in my opinion and perhaps they've launched him a bit too early.
The way WWE will look at things is ratings are down so to hotshot them for Raw, they may make a new champion, however Punk is set to take on Rock at the Rumble and losing to Ryback won't do him any favours.
Ryback is going to lose one day, I think WWE have booked themselves into a corner here.

I thought it was going to be Cena v Ryback v Punk with Ryback turning on Cena giving Punk the 1,2,3
Hope they don't split Heyman and Punk..
Punk needs the gold for the Rumble and he is the cover of the new WWE game which is out next month so think he'd keep the gold

It's Hell in a Cell so no DQ's.
Could go one of two ways for me:
Scenario 1 - Ryback sides with Heyman who turns on Punk
Scenario 2 - Lesnar Run-In giving Punk the win

Say what you want about Ryback, but my god, he's over. The crowd ****ing love him.
