Meltzer is by far the best writer in the business. He has some tremendous sources but to be honest, these rumours of TNA going under aren't new. I was reading a few weeks back that they are looking to downscaling their roster, which they obviously need to do. You can't have a 60-man roster (check the site) all for one show. WWE have an 80 man roster and they have three shows plus a gazillion house shows in a week.

Meltzer isn't exactly known for his positive spin on TNA stories though. We'll see, but as you say, its not like the rumours are anything new, and they must have known their current strategy would be expensive. Surely?

Totally right about the roster, its ridiculous when they only have 2 hours / week (well, 90 mins if you take commercials out). Their site lists about 70 on the roster, although some of those are non-ring roles like Hector Guerro, So Cal Val, Willie Urbina and Taz so you're probably spot on with 60-odd active wrestlers. That's insane.

Looking at it none of the following have really been seen in months:

I'd keep one or two of them personally, but most there's just no room for on tv at the moment. Plus there's the likes of the Nasties (and Jimmy Hart) and Orlando Jordan who can just gtfo, and then Hogan, Bischoff, Flair and the Wolfpac running around. Its a bit silly really.

You can usually pick something up through justintv or ustream, they tend to get closed down very quickly but usually you can get a link to an external site.
