I'd like them to have landed a few less finishers so early. Just a few less. About 4 SCM's, a moonsault through a table 2 chokes, 2 last rides, 3 tombstones (one outside), several submissions, it was an amazing match but yeah, personally I would like there to have been just a tiny bit less of the false finish element to it.

I mean, some people complain about other matches being spot-fests.

Have 2 wrestlers ever won MOTY 2 years running? Obvious show-in again.

At least I can go to bed happy (ish). Sad to see the end of Shawn Michaels though, always liked him.

In terms of pacing the match, I thought it was fine. When you see TNA book a match, the pace is all off when they are doing the swerves and false finishes. This was perfectly timed and the suspense in the ref counts etc was done well. This was an excellent match and was just as good as last years. Different in some senses but just as brilliant.

Thoughts: Enjoyable Wrestlemania. Some fine matches between Jericho v Edge, CM Punk v Rey Mysterio, Cena v Batista and a good ending to Michaels' career (although he'll be back soonish which I hate about retirement angles).

Depends on who's doing the award The general IWC would probably have this in contention. Still a lot of wrestling to go and Impact may trump it, I guess

Not pacing so much as selling I guess. Oh god I know all about TNA's bad pacing (apart from in something like Angle-Wolfe last year when they left them to it and we got the best mainstream technical wrestling match of the year). On my stream (several minutes behind), the first chokeslam & scm came with like half an hour still to go of the broadcast. Ok, time for vid packages and Shawn "retiring", but I just started to feel at one point soon after that like they were overdoing the finishers a bit. There are other wrestling moves. After the moonsault spot on the outside the ending was brilliant, but before that, well in kayfabe terms a tombstone on the "concrete" should really kill someone.

It was a fantastic performance though, I'm just nitpicking.

Overall the top of the card was very good really, even Batista Cena didn't blow too badly (apart from cena's entrance). Edge-Jericho was quality. MITB was a cluster**** with some ok spots, the opener was lame, Orton-Legacy bored me and the women's match was just embarassing.

Michael's will be back. He's too much of a money spinner for WWE for them to let him go. He most likely wants some time off for a year or so. I missed mania last night but am going to DL it. Will be the first one i have seen since mania 15.

Mania was a little meh for me. Apart from HBK/Taker II it was all just a bit subpar.

Punk/Rey should have gone longer and the wrong guy won. The Legacy match was poor, Cena winning was predictable and ****, (although props to him standing with the guys wearing T-shirts slagging him post match), MITB was clustered. HHH/Sheamus was ok, Divas were ****, just ****. Edge/Y2J was good and the Hart/Vince match was told in the wrong way. Why blow the big double cross immediately?!?

Michaels has left the building. Reasonable Raw with the main focus obviously being on Shawn. It does look like they are going to start pushing Jack Swagger, although he did get pinned tonight Full report should be up tomorrow.
