Impact was, barring the Orlando Jordan weirdness (and it really was very creepy), pretty good. Show had a good flow, aided by a total lack of Abyss until the last 30 seconds. Quite a good amount of actual wrestling too, although the Main Event was a bit squeezed for time.
Women's First Blood match was nowhere near as bad as expected, essentially it was just a no-dq match and the blood stip was fulfilled with just a little cut to Daffney's head. Glad they didn't go for buckets of the stuff. Meanwhile The Pope was pimping all show, some great promos and a nice little match with Wolfe, and Jay Lethal was back too, his segments were well funny. Aj - Jarrett was a good match, the x-div did their shizzle, and Anderson delivered a superb promo to Angle, almost made their feud seem interesting again.
Their build for lockdown has been much better than of late with ppv's, and they've continued promoting bouts next week too. Angle - Anderson in a ladder match sounds a bit strange, but its for the "key to their cage" at Lockdown - its about time a fed actually incorporated the concept of someone having a key in a cage match imo.
Hardy/RVD/Young v Wolfpac in the cage was a good way to build lockdown too, apparently it took them half an hour to build the cage at the tapings but their new design looked ace, very sturdy and the top rail look quite thick, setup for big spots. Nice finish to the ME, simultaneous swanton & 5 star with Young then dropping the elbow from the cage top. Buried The Band a bit but that's all good.
Overall a pretty well flowing and decent Impact.
Oh, and apparently the Nasties are gone.
