Raw was good this week, but didn't do much to build to the PPV, more so building up younger talent in Evan Bourne, Daniel Bryan and R Truth. Show started with Edge beating on Bourne in a crazy start and then proceeding to cut a promo on his opponents at Fatal 4 Way which led to Randy Orton coming out and hitting an RKO despite suffering a shoulder injury a few weeks ago at the PPV - silly, oh you better believe it. Ashton Kutcher was 'backstage' (his segments were pre taped) and booked The Miz in a match against Daniel Bryan - great, after months of build up, we are seeing a match on Raw and I thought guest hosts couldn't book matches. The Woo Woo guy had a Twitter feud with Kutcher who promised to book him in a match later.

R Truth beat Jericho in a fine TV match. R Truth had more to gain than Jericho had to lose. Jericho looked distraught after losing, excellent selling. Seem as if WWE are really making the US Champion seem meaningful rather than be another jobber for main eventers and clever booking to put Truth against Jericho, a guy who can genuinely sell to other wrestlers rather than pretending to sell like Triple H.

Santino and Eve Torres beat Regal and Maryse. Kozlov hit a modified Ura-nage suplex on Regal in a swerve after Santino convinced Kozlov that the pair of them would be a good tag team. What an awful tag team that would be. A filler match.

Bret Hart cut a promo and explained next week's Raw is three hours and will feature Smackdown superstars as well. Seriously, name me a week that doesn't happen. This led Ted DiBiase out who talked something about nothing, didn't understand why he was out, maybe to make sure fans remembered him or something. Vince McMahon came out, out of all people. I guess WWE realised that they had to explain the decision to make Bret Hart GM and Vince cut a heel promo and done the usual goofy moves like the awesome strut.

Edge injured Randy Orton with a door to write him out of the main event which he was pencilled in for. He can do an RKO but a door ****s him up?

Daniel Bryan beat The Miz in a two minute match. Raw is now watching how they can book like TNA and this was it. Months of build up on NXT and a match which finished in two minutes. Danielson did some holds and even done the omoplata crossface which I guess might be his signature finisher but he won with an inside cradle. Miz proceeding on beating down Danielson and tried to force Danielson to apologise to Michael Cole, as he was outside the announcers table. Danielson reversed and threw Miz onto Cole, which I cheered.

The Usos and Tamina Snuka came out and delivered an unconvincing promo. Didn't mention who they were as in Rikishi's sons. Snuka got some heat and babbled how her dad was shoved to the corner in Wrestlemania I. Hart Dynasty came out to gain their revenge from last week but the Usos still managed to get one over them and done the same finisher as last week.

Woo Woo Guy came out for the weeks 'comedy' segment. He demanded to find out his opponent from Kutcher. At first, it was King, but then it wasn't. Khali came out, it wasn't him. Goldust came out, it wasn't him. It was indeed Alisha Fox, who was with the Woo Woo Guy. Crap.

Cena and Bourne beat Sheamus and Edge. Originally Orton was planned for the main event but he was injured so Cena drafted in Bourne, who was attacked earlier that night. Very good main event, Bourne selling babyface to give Sheamus and Edge heat for large parts and got his timings well, surprisingly. Maybe the WWE's reluctance to smaller guys is their inability to time moves properly like Kingston but Bourne seemed reasonably accomplished here. Bourne pinned Sheamus for the win and I predict Sheamus beats down on Bourne next week to get his heat back.

With the roster thin, this is going to be a testing period for Raw and they tried to do the right things on Monday night which gets a thumbs up for me. They still have a couple of weeks to build for the PPV so I guess this week's aim was to make Danielson, Bourne, Usos, Truth look good enough to compete at a top level.

Thursday's Impact was ok. On the face of it, things didn't look good with a midget on the show, but overall it had almost no hogan, no commercial breaks during matches, and some semi-sensible booking build for slammiversary matches. It almost had the air of a show not booked by Russo. We'll see.

I watched some of raw. Evan Bourne I'm not quite sure about. I dunno, I'd like to see him go, one on one, for 15mins with someone like Jericho (struggling to think of another lighterweight wwe heel). Or ideally (though obviously not possible) someone like AJ, Daniels, Williams or Kazarian. Just to see how good he really is. That'd test his timing. You're right though, he didn't look as out of his depth as I thought he might in that main event. Cena, credit to him, did a great job of putting him over as a legit partner.

The Danielson thing was lame. Well no, it wasn't, at least it happened, hopefully will again (I can see Miz calling him out next week or something), and the throwing Miz into Cole thing kinda made up for the 2 minute match, but I wish they'd let Danielson show himself as really legit threat in the ring. The odd submission attempt out of nowhere (has he actually got anyone to tap yet?) is not quite enough really for me. That is the wwe style though I suppose.

The Uso's promo was weak. Early days though. Hopefully they'll let Tamina and Natalya wrestle, Natalya's better in the ring than the entire rest of the divas put together.

So Undertaker is dead again. Is the American Badass version going to come back when its revealed that someone ridiculous like Zack Ryder was responsible for his 'state'

Ahhh well at least they're trying to push new stars

So, ah, well, Raw was ****, really ****... until the last 20 minutes. Then it made no sense and half of them don't really work as heels, but who cares, the NXT invasion was pretty damn awesome anyway. Haven't seen anything as chaotic since the Cornette-booked riot in tna last year, and you've got to love any booking in which a bunch of "rookies" leave Cena on a stretcher.

I see they're going straight into NXT season 2? Kaval (Low-ki) is on it, which is good, although his mentors are LayCool? Like wtf? The other lad to watch in that is the fella with the jock gimmick, name escapes me, he's quite good at what he does.

Raw was indeed **** but the last twenty minutes were the best I have seen ever on Raw. Absolutely brilliantly done. The original tease of Wade Barrett coming out after his interview with Savannah to the jumping process and the stripping of the set. BRAVO AND APPLAUSE TO CREATIVE. It brings back intrigue and mystery back to wrestling which we haven't seen in ages. WHY HAVE SOME OF THESE USELESS WRESTLERS STILL WORKING ON RAW? being one question but the other is WHY DID MICHAEL COLE GET AWAY UNSCATHED?

I will certainly be watching NXT tonight and Smackdown on Friday night. The crew has to do something similar on Smackdown to make the invasion angle feel authentic and it would have an impact despite hardly anyone tuning into Smackdown.

It will be interesting to see what plans they have for the PPV? Do they scrap them because of Orton's injury and Mysterio leaving the company for a short while and get these guys in or do they continue as normal and get these guys to invade the PPV once Cena retains? One things for sure, Cena has to sell next week and not appear. After an eight man battering, he can't come back with square jaw and orange gear with a scripted promo Hulk Hogan-esque. If Creative are serious about pushing NXT invaders, it needs to be done correctly, possibly by getting some people to go over like Orton, Mysterio among other faces.

It would be good if these guys dumped Taker into his 'vegetative state'. Now, that's booking, people.

Some other news: Survivor Series will remain despite McMahon's plans to rebrand the PPV. He blamed the poor buys on the format rather than the crappy build between HBK, HHH and Cena and that UFC were on the night before. McMahon once looking at Wrestlemania buys realised it was possibly UFC thats affecting buys rather than the formats of these respective PPVs.

That angle at the end of Raw was great, but they better know what they're doing with it

Allegedly Daniel Bryan has been future endeavoured. I think its a work. Rumour is he got binned for choking the ring announcer with the tie. I think its a work though, part of the angle.

Slammiverary tonight, anyone watching. Dixie promises a surprise

Imagine how awesome it would be if that suprise was..... "American Dragon", Brian Danielson

It'll be something lame of course.

I'll watch it or download it if I don't stay up. Card looks very mixed, Angle - Kaz, Kendrick - Williams and Lethal - AJ (if there's not too much nonsense) could all be good though.

I read that Dixie has been talking to Paul Heyman, maybe that's her surprise. It most likely will be something lame. If Bryan did make a quick jump that'd be crazy! I hope they haven't really binned him

Bryan Danielson has been future endeavoured. Like johnly, I also hope it's a work but that would be incredibly stupid, if it was. This was a decision made after a very big business partner, rumoured to be Mattel, were very angry with said choking of Justin Roberts. I have no idea why creative and the booking staff weren't also disciplined but to save face, Danielson has been sacked. WWE have told Danielson that this is purely a business decision and nothing personal and is likely to return back to the WWE within the year. Sorry Mr Michael, Danielson has a 90 day clause in his release although he has been looking at indie dates and potentially a return to ROH. How about a feud with Claudio?

Loads of rumours vis Slammiversary. One which makes reasonable sense is the introduction of 3D coverage although that wouldn't really change the face of the business. Should Heyman join, will WWE care and pull out all the stops? Not yet. If Impact starts getting a 2.0 in ratings, they may stand up and listen.

I heard exactly what you wrote there buddy. Gone because of the people who used to make He-Man toys. ****ed up

3D coverage for TNA? That wouldn't be too impressive, Heyman I can see happening though and depending on what they let him do WWE will have to respond. The NXT angle is still the buzz talk in the business, they simply cannot **** this up

I see Roxxi is gone again? They don't have a clue on that show I swear. The Angle match was good. The Wolfe one horrific.

Bryan appears to be temporarily gone from WWE, even John Cena is backing him up and said he wants to sign a petition to get him to re-sign. If this is a work, its a masterpiece. Raw shall be interesting tonight
