I can't even remember or even guess why I ever had even the slightest interest in car racing. What was I thinking?

I suspect that many sports change when you see them live and admittedly I've never watched motor racing live. Even though F1 seems incredibly tedious I reckon sitting in a decent spot at Monaco would be more than OK and would probably make it a lot more interesting when I saw any race on telly after that.

All the same I'm not interested enough to test that theory.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Not too much in to F1 anymore, used to watch much more motor racing when i was younger everything from Touring Cars through to rally Championships.

Now if F1 is on, i'll watch the start (where most of the action and overtaking takes place) and then turn over too watch something else.
      We come not to play.

I used to like F1 but the race in America where 6 cars started completely ruined the whole thing for me.

Pretty much the same as me, if i had to choose one or the other though, football would win every time.
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

I quite enjoy Formula 1, but not at the level i used to say 10yrs ago, ifeel that it has suffered moving to ITV as a spectacle and the ad breaks are ridiculous. Also the Ferrari/Schumi dominance almost bored the life out of it and made bloody touring cars and moto gp more appealing. But the new set of drivers and rules seem to be making it much more exciting, I can see it getting a lot better in years to come with the likes of raikonnen, kovalienen, hamilton, alonso, kubica etc coming through.

I always thought F1 was really boring but I have a lot of mates who like it and convinced me to go to Silverstone about 5 years back. They told me that seeing it live would make me appreciate it and I'd be a big fan by the time the weekend was over.

I hate it now, worst ****ing weekend of my life.
