    Well I'm sold

I'd be delighted to see him in the fold again but he's not bowled a ball in international cricket for 3 years so I hope the selectors take their time with him. If we could unleash him on the Aussies we might be in with a fighting chance.

Don't agree with Flintoff being our best bowler anymore, he's had one good/great series with the ball and that was the Ashes 2005, but since Troy Cooley has left and Flintoff has been injured and abusing his body, he's not the same bowler at all.
      But we'll see.

We are going to get hammered by the Aussies, but it's the usual problem, we don't have the bowlers. That's the reason e won in 2005, our bowlers were on fire and most of the credit has to go to Troy Cooley.

As for the captain - this is the major issue and a fair question. I want Vaughan dropped but there are no stand-out captains. KP, Flintoff, Bell....no way. Strauss is the closest I can think of but for me he's better off concentrating on maintaining his revival.

Tough one. We have a captain who, since his injury problems, can't buy a run, but no alternative skipper.
Someone said today and from the little I have seen I tend to agree that the best Vaughn replacement would be Key. The trouble is he is very much out of the test picture - I would have though though that this series with a pace attack like SAs would be ideal to give him a chance (I mean as a batsman).

I think Vaughn needs to be given some time batting somewhere to recover genuine form. All this failing early speaks to me of someone who isn't totally match sharp. He definitely needs to be vulnerable to a change, currently he is a rut and doesn't seem to be altering anything much to get out of it.

Hussain went through a spell where he kept getting variable low bounce and LBW. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

what class is that? Hussain and Atherton were average at best

Got the clip of where Freddie sledges Yuvraj in the 20:20 world cup and then Broad gets smacked for 6 sixes. There is some great commentary on that as well....6, 6, 6,....and the crowd go Balle, Balle, Balle

I'm not really sure. I just think that at the minute for all of Vaughns good work in the field the team overall seems to be under performing. I would say that Strauss would appear to be the best 'safe pair of hands' type option if you were looking to shake things up elsewhere.

You should make KP Your Captain. He will benefit fron the added pressure and is the type of player that will lead by example

I'd like to think you were right but I'm not so sure myself.

An England win in this Test now looks extremely unlikely.

Don't mind having a player of other nationality playing but don't like the idea of captaining the test side especially, I know Tony Greig did it but I wasn't born so it makes no difference to me.

I'ts been a poor performance from the bowling attack really, Pattinson is like a goldfish in the pacific. Onions would have ben a good option, someone who has been around the county scene for a while and can bowl 90mph+ regularly.

Anyone else notice that in ODI's Anderson and Broad are 90mph+ but only mid 80's in tests?
