RIP Seve. The most exciting player I've ever seen and a true legend. One of sport's great, great heroes.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Seve was a legend. As swashbuckling as golf could be. A natural genius at the game.

Rob Lee is telling Seve stories on SSN. He's talking about when the Seve 11 took on the Langer 11 at football. Hilarious! Valencia supplied kits, UEFA accredited refs, the works. 'Whenever there was a freekick or corner Seve would grab the ball and wouldn't let anyone take it, the thing is though... He wasn't even any good at football'

After the game they threw him in a lake with his £10000 rolex on. He was going to go mad but saw some cameras so just laughed and started hugging people instead. Legend

He also told a story about a time Seve saw Lee and Mark Roe arm wrestling in a bar so he sauntered over and challenged them both despite being World number one at the time. Apparently He couldn't be in the room where people were competing and not be involved. The man was a giant among men. Loving all the Seve anecdotes. What a brilliant, brilliant bloke he was.

Very sad news. Not particularly a golf fanatic but he formed part of my early childhood memories because he was an iconic sportsmen. Reposar en paz Seve.

I want to remember him in that dark blue Slazenger jumper punching the air and with that amazing smile on his face.
                    Cool as ****!

RIP Seve....you'll always be a legend in my eyes

                              Horrible news.

Not a massive golf fan, but my first memory of Seve was a poster of him at a Golf Club next to a park that I used to go to as a nipper. Can't remember what he was advertising now, but he just looked amazing with that smile.

                              RIP.

                                Tragic news.
Growing up he was my idol. Absolutely adored Seve, and had the pleasure of following him around a number of courses and tournaments.

Sad day for sport, the passing of a legend and a true gentleman.

                                RIP Seve
