Khan is too big & strong and fast for MAB, its an easy fight for Khan by the 1st round.

Hmm, hard to really gain any real sense of improvement from this and my concern would be that now as he has fought and defeated a real big name he may think he has to fight the big boys every time, I dont think hes quite there yet and as such his next fight may well be the biggest of his career. He has to be very careful with the selection of his next opponent.

All too easy in the end. Khan looks a much-improved fighter.

I said that a few days back.

Put Khan in with a live top 10 leightweight and we'll see how he gets on.

Well done lad, good effort. Khan at least now has a proper trainer, and he'll get all there is to get from Khan, how far that will take him i don't know, he certainly has the potential.

Great confidence boosting win for Amir Khan but a real shame about Barrera's cut. Clearly it changed the fight but Khan did look very sharp out there tonight.

Agreed, it's left so many questions about the contest unanswered.

Khan was so close to silencing his critics tonight - from what I saw I feel he would have beaten Barrera cut or no cut, but I agree with your sentiment.

From the off, Khan looked the more solid and confident fighter. He approached Barrera in a positive manner and has improved in his defence, massively. Always kept his left hand by his chin unlike in the past when he was caught by Limond, Gomez and Prescott.

The cut had a massive bearing on the result, Barrera could not see but Khan before the cut looked as though he would win the fight as he was more composed and assured whilst trading jabs with Khan.

Overall, good improvement, step in the right direction. Maybe fight another name to get him in the feel of things, possibly get him on an undercard in the US. The world lightweight scene at the moment is very difficult to break and it will take Khan some time to become world champion which with Roach can most definitely happen.

Not neccesarrily, if JMM vacates the WBO belt Warren will have him straight in there and get a fight with Alex Arthur or a bum like Foster Jr and have it for the title (so it gets kept in sports network even if Khan loses), then bingo, world champion even though the WBO belt is ****e but then all the organisations are a corrupt sham one way or the other.
