    England in the West Indies

First test starting now - great batting track by the sound of it. England batting first. Should be lots of runs for somebody.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

Even better sign (from Cricinfo) West Indies bowling averages- "Benn 58, Edwards 39, Powell 46, Taylor 35, Gayle 39..... Decent if they were batting averages"

Didn't stop Taylor from getting Strauss for 7 in his third over, having got him to edge in the first over, and having him dropped in the second. Not an impressive start.

It has been poor, I agree. 193-5.

I met Rob Key on Monday; he was just casually chatting in our Student's Union .

A poor excuse of a Student Union, you mean?

Maybe not such a bad effort in the end. That's something to see Freddie bat so carefully. KP, too, until he went crazy at the end. Hopefuuly Freddie and Prior can take it on tomorrow.

Windes are a piss poor test side. It's a shame that a once great team has been reduced to this.

They've still got a few cracking players though - Gayle, Chanderpaul and Sarwan are all class batsmen. Having grown up watching Greenidge, Richards, Lloyd, Marshall, Garner, Holding and Roberts though, this current lot are a very tame group.

Actually one of (if not the) biggest in the country.

                    Cheers for the birthday message.

My mate who was there goes it was a poor student union. Saying that, our SU looks like a Welcome Break.

That's what happens when you write us off. Come on windies.

In fairness the Windes have been ****e for quite a while now.

This however is cricket from another planet. Loving it, LOVING IT

Innings defeat looks to be on the cards.
