And even if it all works out well for them it will be more by luck than judgement. In fact, if they win this test then it will be in spite of the England players, management and selectors, not because of them.
I don't know how that "logic" is supposed to work but if people can say such things about Rafa and Istanbul, it applies a million times more to English cricket.
Who says that about Istanbul?

. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
I like Bopara, but mainly for his aggressive batting. He's a bits n pieces bowler. Can't see this line-up taking 20 wickets but I suppose the Windies might give their wickets away.
Me neither. Exactly why I don't understand Bopara's selection. I like his batting too but he doesn't replace Flintoff.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Who could though? He's the Steven Gerrard of English cricket. And Liverpool never win without Steven Gerrard because we're a one-man team.
Hang on...
