yeah i've piled on the beef this past month or so - weddings/week at the open/stag do/etc etc - just meant so much drinking and eating crap
that coupled with my ankle being shot meaning i am struggling to play football has not been good.
I'm not doing atkins though. I'm starting off with changing me diet (which i started last week but it got interrupted over weekend) is
Morning - a slim fast type shake
lunch - subway salad lunch
evening meal - either chicken or tuna with either **** load of veg or salad
in between meals have yoghurt/fruit/healthy bar type thing
with regards to exercise - i've started some made routine which i do every day - takes about 20-30 minutes, and it's things like push ups/sit ups/crunches/lean against a wall like you are sitting on a chair and hold it for as long as poss etc....found it all via a google search - it's designed to not kill you off, but basically do enough to start burning calories plus it targets the belly. So do that every day, - along with a minimum 20 minute light jog. Unfortunatley my ankle doesn't allow me to do much more than that at the minute. But by doing a little but every day, it's better than doing nothing all week then going for a game of footy that see's me off for another week
my plan is to do the above diet for the next week, then pay day i'm doing the slim and save diet which is basically four meal packs a day from some website. I'm going to look at doing that for 2 weeks.,
on top of this -
replaced all hot drinks (coffee/tea) with green tea
have a berocca every morning
no booze!i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

If you cut out carbs for 3 weeks you’ll definitely see massive weight loss, but maintaining it is much harder and if you stop dieting/exercising then you’ll put it back on, plus some, in no time.Originally posted by Norbs View PostBump.
Starting Atkins today, weight is a flabby 13st 8lbs. I'm going to couple it with the 100 press ups challenge. Subby type pictures might follow in 3 weeks if the results are decent enough
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

You should consider Atkins, it's not the fatfest it's made out to be.
a) It works if you follow the rules
b) You only do it for 3 weeks so it's perfect for blokes
c) It takes focus which means in a round about way you've got something to occupy your mind while avoiding all the foods with carbs.
Last time I did it I was eating more lettuce and salad leaves than I would normally do, drinking more water and eating less overall. I'd have kippers for breakfast so was getting more Omega 3, a small salad for lunch, usually lettuce and bacon with a bit of blue cheese and then a chicken caesar for dinner or perhaps a stir fry with peppers, beansprouts, meat, mushrooms and courgette. I didn't have any lethargy, headaches or smelliness about me. In fact I wanted to continue it indefinitely but was advised that it puts a strain on the liver
No booze on it, or caffeine. It's a real cleansing diet if challenged from the correct angle. Trouble is that most people approach it thinking 'oh, I'm going to have bacon and burgers with mayo and cheese and extra 'wormies' ham fat on the side. Then you're metabolising the fat you're eating instead of the fat inside your body.
I'm going on holiday on 28th so the diet will finish Wednesday 27th. My aim is to drop to 12st 7lbs, I reckon it's doable

Anyone who talks about losing weight I would always recommend My Fitness Pal. I personally lost around 4st, and my partner lost 3 and a bit.
Treat it like a game and hit the targets it has, cant really go wrong if you follow it. Its slower, but its a sustainable way of doing it.*Except Michael, who died.

iPhone app and website.
You put in current weight, goal weight and then the amount you would like to lose a week. Its only a rough guide, but then itll give you some number of calories to stick to per day.
You can go over/under if you want as its just a guide. Helps with reminding you what you eat during the day though as you log everything.
Becomes a habit after a while. I stopped for a month or two and then did it again to maintain myself. I want to lose more though. But I dont want to rush it all off.
