    100 Push Up Challenge / Diet thread

    So I am doing a lot of cardio training these days and doing MMA training twice a week. Certain areas of my fitness and strength are pretty good, others just plain embarassing..

    One such area is push ups, I am ****ing pittyfull .. I am benching 50 KG yet cant do 20 ****ing press ups anways I found this excellent site and I am going to take up the challenge starting tomorrow...

    Currenty I can do **** all push ups .. lets see it this thing works

    I've started doing that too, found the website a couple of weeks ago. I've been surprised at how quickly I've got used to doing each set. My arm strength is hopeless.

    You sound a hell of a lot fitter than me, though!

        I'm in reasonable nick for a guy 35 years old, I do 50 lengths of a large swimming pool in 45 minutes most days weather permitting, usually hit the gym at least twice a week and do 40 minutes on the elliptical trainer, 75 sit ups and usually 3 sets of lat pull downs with some decent weights ...

        Keeps me in good shape. Then I started MMA training .. **** me ... 10 Minutes on the running machine 20 minutes Circuit Training and 30 minutes sparing .. sweet jesus it knocks the stuffing out of you .. and particularly with the weight training you release just how little strenght you have in certain areas ..

        Anyways I am really enjoying it, think I missed my calling something really pleasing about smacking the **** out of a heavybag .. starting to look to work on my conditioning in various different muscle groups ..

        I enjoy the structured approach to building up strength and technique etc

        Anyways like I said my Push ups are a real source of embarassment .. especially as my mate .. a Karate Black Belt and real wind up merchant in a good way trains with me .. So tomorrow it is ...Girly Push ups

          thanks for posting this, im actually quite good at press ups but will give the training session a go. it will add some structure to my training sessions.

          i currently practice martial arts, one belt from black, so i need to step up my training and fitness levels. hopefully this will do the trick!

            I'm in sh** shape meself! :-)

            Loved the few boxing lessons I had, at a previous workplace and would love to continue that. Trouble is, at 36 it seems that all the classes are for kids.

              I find hindu push ups to be the best all round for strength improvement. Also try and vary the width of you palms for each set of normal push ups you do otherwise you'll get used to them before long.

                cheers fot that going to try and do that and the 200 sit up challenge as well,

                love these sort of things for goals !!

                  For those who run with iphones/ipod touch there's a nifty little free app called trailguru which works a treat. Can upload a reasonable amount of data to the net too. Apparently there's an app for this 100 pushup thing but you have to pay so **** that

                        2?!?! I was hesitant to post that I did 17 for the "initial test" earlier! Mind you, I'm a skinny ****er so hardly got anything to lift

                        Completed the day 1 bit though. ****ed now!
