I've thought long and hard about this fight.
I'm going to go with Pacman on points or a late stoppage due to cuts.
My reasoning being that Pacman is by far the better boxer. His speed and footwork is far superior to anything that Hatton has to offer. He won't engage in a war with Hatton, it'd be suicidal,
Roach will have devised a game plan and Pacman will execute it superbly.
The major misgiving i have in picking Pacman is Hattons size. Hatton will be at least 154 when he enters the ring. Pacmans never fought anyone that size before. Pacman is also suseptiable to body shots - albeit he last lost a fight due to body shots ten years ago - and Hatton is one of the best in the business with punches to the liver.
Really looking forward to this fight. Hatton has much more of a chance of winning this than he did against Pretty Boy Floyd.
There's been alot of talking in the media about this fight being for the linear pound for pound world title. Bollocks. You can't 'win' the pound for pound title in a single fight. Were Hatton to beat Pacman then Hatton would possibly be 4th or 5th in the pound for pound rankings. Pacman would possibly slip to 2 and JMM would move up to 1. You can't have a pound for pound champion who's only ever fought outside his prime weight twice, losing 1 of them.
