We get 162-6 from 20 yet they win with 80-5 from 9 overs. With such a slim total to aim for wickets become more or less irrelevant and the odds are heavily stacked in the batting teams favour. I agree but our bowling in those last four overs was pants, as indeed was our batting in the latter part of the innings. We were about 90-2 off about 10 overs and then didn't hit a boundary until the penultimate ball of the innings.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’Comment

I thought D/L took wickets into account (to balance out the fact you've got less chance of losing all your wickets in 9 overs than 20) and that the old method of calculating a target favoured the batting side far, far more.

It does - my feeling is though that the stats involved are dominated by pre-T20 matches and need reviewing in the light of it. Added to the fact that obviously the fewer overs you are reduced to the bigger the error that is likely to come into the calculations.
