I think cycling is the toughest sport, therefore Lance Armstrong deserve more credit after winning 7 consecutive Tour de France, which is the most difficult single discipline in sport.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Schumacher was a cheat in a better car than anyone else
Age is irrelevant, if anyting Tiger Woods is up against a larger pool of players as players of all ages can effectively compete against him. He will also have a longer career to sustain his dominance in the sport.
Federer is no2 in the world to someone much younger and I would argue hungrier than him. If he wins wimbledon I wouldnt be surprised to see him retire from the sport at the end of the year before he starts to take a pasting in a few years.
As for cycling as its such a minority sport at that level I dont think it can realistically be considered.

Federer's got a weight off his shoulders now. I expect him to regain world No. 1 before the end of the year.

Bollocks. What artificial criterion are you dragging in to make that idiotic pronouncement?Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostAs for cycling as its such a minority sport at that level I dont think it can realistically be considered.
EDIT: that came across as a lot harsher than intended. It is idiotic though.

But Golf is far less physical than tennis, football etc. and calling it a proper sport means that you could put in Darts, Billiard, mini-golf and such as a top sport as well. The only thing that keeps golf from being a pub-game is the size of the course really.

You know what's useful when trying to work out who a picture is of on the internet? Looking at its url
Chris Moneymaker, poker legend. Won the WSOP main event & $2.5m from a $40 qualifier
I was taking the piss obviously

I did that but I've never heard of him. I thought Chris Moneymaker might be Johnny Vegas' real name. Or the other way round.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostYou know what's useful when trying to work out who a picture is of on the internet? Looking at its url

And this event he won - where was it held?
