    I'm not really talking about what was around those days, just what virtue(s) it takes to compete in what you can call a sport.

    Golf fits well in with bowling, darts, billiards and curling (although it perhaps require speed to broom the floor?? )

    And I like shaggys idea of having a gaming channel for those things, they could also throw in a bit of Counterstrike as well!

      Are you lot taking the piss with this golf argument or what? Bowling, darts and curling are all done inside for a start. It's a non-argument for me..golf requires strength and stamina without question. From experience of playing all sports (or most) I would say golf must be the hardest to master

      Anyway it's 12-12 and 6 can't decide
      Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge

        Chess is a harder game to master than golf so difficulty has f*ck all to do with it.

        Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

              But was has it being done inside have to do with being a sport or not???

              athletics, basket, badminton, tennis, american football, indoor football etc. is all being played indoor...

                      There was a discussion on LBC the other day and they were discussing the same thing and Steven Redgrave and Matthew Pinsent got a mention simply because rowing is such a difficult sport.
