It'll be interesting to see, because Haye is really talking up his speed, in the past he's always walked the walk despite his big mouth. I like Haye even though he's an absolute plonker.

Loved the interviews with him and how relaxed and light hearted he is. Especially taking the piss out of himself and his coach about the stiletto goth boots he bought in Germany for training for purposes of punching upwards.

Looking well forward, things could go horrendously wrong for him, regardless it will be very entertaining. If Haye knocks Valuev out it'll be huge. Considering putting a tenner on him, not sure if I'll see it again though.

I can see him winning on points, it'd be amazing to see him knock Valuev out though.
      We come not to play.

Don't think so, everyone who has ever tried to beat Valuev on points has lost, especially those guys whom have tried to run away/behind and get behind him or to the side of him. Judges don't seem to like that. Valuev's reach is so long it's an extremely difficult exercise going 12 rounds with him.

Haye has only won 1 fight on points (and to be frank he should have knocked that chap out but didn't) the others he's knocked the opponent out and he got knocked out on 1 occasion. His trainer has stated that they're there for a "fight not a box" because they don't feel he can outbox a guy with that kind of reach. The tactic is to get him with a lot of quick shots and land a strong right hand to put him down.

Realistic or not, I don't know but that seems to be the general idea. Considering Valuev has never been knocked down I don't know if Haye can be the first to do it.

I very much doubt theyve said they cant outbox him and if he has its quite possibly the most clueless statement I have ever heard, he's easily outboxed and has been quite a few times in the past, recently with Holyfield and Chagaev. His lack of speed combined with Haye's fast hands and feet makes him a prime target to outbox.

The only problem with outboxing a Sauerland fighter in Germany and going to the cards is you dont often get the W.

I imagine this is a bigger concern to the Haye camp than the actual fight.

What about the Pacquiao, Cotto fight? Did Sky secure the rights for it, and are they just gonna show it on normal Sky like Mayweather?

Was it advertised? I searched everywhere on the net the other week and found nothing.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I was watching the Moore v Rhodes fight last night and during the program they said that the Pacman v Cotto fight was live on SS1.

Valuev is currently 6/4 which I'm quite tempted by.

I like Haye, but he's been on TV a lot lately and to me he's not taking this fight seriously. I mean, 1 week to go and he's on SoccerAM and Paul O'grady, not the sort of focus you'd expect from a professional boxer. Valuev has fought more than twice as many professional fights than Haye too, so he'll go into the fight with a lot of experience.

Saying that Haye is the better boxer by far and maybe I'm reading into the media circus too much, but he's also fighting in Germany which, if it goes to points, Haye will find it very difficult to get a decision.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."
