Sorry, just the way you're talking about him having special favours I assumed you had dozens of examples immediately to mind.

Nothing I can ever say will change your mind, as we have found in the past. You have your opinion, I have mine... lets leave it at that.
Miguel Torres is one that springs to mindOriginally posted by EwarWoo View PostSorry, just the way you're talking about him having special favours I assumed you had dozens of examples immediately to mind.Originally posted by fah-qDidn't someone once see Philip Schofield ****ting into a crisp packet?

I think Miguel Torres is the biggest waste of talent in MMA.
He was absolutely incredible at one point- went 37-1 (including going 20-0) and now he is ****. Losing fights to nobodies at local showsOriginally posted by fah-qDidn't someone once see Philip Schofield ****ting into a crisp packet?

Aldo will make mincemeat of McGregor wherever they fight.
McGregor is too green for the likes of Aldo at this stage in his career. UFC are fast tracking him instead of building him properly.
It'd be an exciting fight but i don't see anything other than Aldo winning. Also be very surprised if he fights Aldo for the title out with North America.

Apparently he's agreed to fight in Ireland
Think the massive bonus for fighting for a title in the challengers home country helped sway it. Or the fact that Aldo will destroy him.
Him laughing in McGregor's face after the fight was brilliantOriginally posted by fah-qDidn't someone once see Philip Schofield ****ting into a crisp packet?

Fight will be in Vegas, too much hassle to be in Croker. McGregor looks good but he has fought nobody even near the calibre of Aldo. A couple of late stand ins, the average Poirier & now a veteran who was busted for taking steroids.
Lot of folk over here love him but i think he's a bot of a ****** but if he beats Aldo.. then fair play to him. McGregor is tall & has a long reach, seems to be a big advantage of recent opponents. Personally i think he should have fought Edgar or Mendes before Aldo but he's a money maker & the UFC are fast tracking him.Last edited by danperkins; 19-01-15, 07:18 PM.

Aldo is obviously a different class to anyone McGregor has ever been near. But I do think Connor will give him some trouble, although Aldo will come out with the win. I would like to have seen, as some have suggested, McGregor take Mendes or Edgar first, but they was always going to throw him straight in.
He was brilliant last night, there's no doubt about that, Siver is obviously not as good but he made him look like an amatuer. I think Connors arrogance could be his downfall against Aldo, he has been caught with a couple of shots before, and I think Aldo will exploit any holes in his guard. I even think Mendes beats McGregor currently, takes him down and holds him there.
Had to be said though McGregor is doing huge things for the UFC, that jump over the cage to get into Aldo's face will be played over and over again in the lead up to the Aldo fight. The times they are a changin'.

UFC ain't daft. As much as the gate recepits would be for filling the likes of Croke they know that it wouldn't make up for the money lost in PPV sales in the States.
IF Mcgregor defeats Aldo (big IF) then i can see him having a 'soft' title defense in ireland during the summer.
