This was always coming for Jones.

      I think DC beats Rumble.

JBJ taking a break could help them. Add a bit of unpredictability back into it, he was never going to lose.

Then he can come back amid much hype after "treatment" and they'll have the biggest PPV event in their history.

Then they can arrange something for Valasquez and sort that weight out.

Between Jones' problems and Cains injuries that'll probably never happen.

Interesting conversation about who takes that fight though.

I reckon DC wins, fights Gus(or possibly even Bader!) then Jones comes back and it's DC vs Jones 2.

Dana is in bother when Aldo beats Mcgregor though, with no GSP, Anderson roided up, Mcgregor no longer "invincible" and Jones being a ****house that leaves them with Rousey as their only Cash Cow.

I believe the fighters suffer from PTSD once their bout is finished and the adrenaline disappears.

They need medical help to control their lives and acclimatise to normal life outside of training and fighting.

Special Forces often go off the rails outside the job for similar reasons.
              Interesting take,
There is probably an element of truth in that, but i would say its far more appropriate to military / security personal were the violence and threat of violence comes from a different place. The life of a professional fighter usually revolves around a very high level of discipline, diet, training, teaching classes, most fighters are actually quite thoughtful sensible lads. I think a lot of them when they come out of training camp, after the fight ... just want to blow of steam, not from the fight but from the water cleanse they have been on for 5 days, the months of chicken and broccoli, no alchol etc ... they've just been paid and don't have a fight scheduled, they tend to go a little crazy for a couple of weeks. I do think though like footballers they would suffer from depression when they can not get that high from the crowds on fight night, not from the violence but from the buzz of the crowd.
Professional combat for me is totally different to street, security or military, its more of a chess game. I could watch a million professional fights and rarely feel uncomfortable, but show me 5 street fights or 5 videos of military conflict close combat and its a different story all together.

The UFC did the right thing. I feel sorry for Jones, early doors a very large proportion of the fan base just did not take to him, hes been in some ways under the kosh in the court of public perception ever since and its been a slow car crash waiting to happen. One thing for me is for sure, hes the greatest fighter that has ever competed, the man is on another planet. I think what he has done is reprehensible but I wonder if perhaps he could of been monged off his face a got a dose of paranoia and fled the scene, I say that because the alternative is just such a ****ehouse move I cannot wrap my head around it

I bet he woke up the next day and thought "What the **** have i done". Guy is a waste of talent and will miss out on millions. Still think the UFC will take him back in time though, they had to react would have looked cray if they didn't. He'll be back.

Khabib out of his fight with Cerrone at 187 as well.

Now a Weidman injury imminent to complete the triforce of ****.

Bad luck or are these guys doing something wrong in training camp?

Amount of UFC fighters injured before the fights is alarming

Well Khabib is training at AKA at the minute, which is getting quite a lot of grief(including from Dana) about the way that they train their fighters.

I think the specific problem that people have is something to do with the way that they "strengthen" knees, a lot of the problems that are coming out of that camp are knee related (Cain, Thompson has had knew problems and now Khabib, plus there's a lot of rumours that DC has some knee problems too, but he manages them really well) there was a video knocking round of the excercise that they do, and I remember it being quite painful to watch, can't find it right now though because I'm on my phone

Its the insurance- fighters are always covered now, not just for fights. Meaning any injury in the build up and they drop out, where previously guys would still fight as they needed paying and generally didn't have their own cover
