As long as he learns he will be. For me he fell into the hype that had been built up around him .

Looking like we've got our first 200 match up.

          Cain vs Travis Browne.

Or Rothwell vs Browne when Cain pulls out. Gibbo's prediction is first fight main card.

Main event is looking like is going to be Conor vs Nate 2.

                Huge risk for Conor.

Also surely Conor vacates his belt now.

Conor has cancelled his planned appearance in the much anticipated Xander Cage return XXX3 to have zero distractions from fighting.

Fight night 85 had some cracking fights.

Not a massive fan of watching fights with fighters like Hunt, pretty much nothing until they get the chance to ping 1 in, but if it happens quick enough a certain visceral pleasure.

Magnay Lombard was a quality fight, enjoyed that 1.

Kelly's turn around was class, round 1 looked like an amateur out of his depth then switched it up.

Matthews Case was however one of the best fights I've seen in a long time, it had a bit of everything.

McGregor vs Diaz 2 officially announced at 200 - At 170. Conor apparently "obsessed" that he wants it all to be the same.

Aldo vs Edgar 2 for *interim* belt at 200 too.

Proper fighter. He doesn't just want to save face, he wants personal redemption.

Conor McGregor has been given the chance to avenge his loss to Nate Diaz in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The two mixed martial artists will meet again in another welterweight contest at UFC 200 in Las Vegas on 9 July.

American Diaz handed McGregor his first defeat in the UFC earlier this month when he choked the featherweight champion into submission.

UFC boss Dana White said he urged McGregor to fight Diaz at a lower weight but the Irishman was against it.

"Even his coach tried to get him to get off the rematch and the 170-pound fight, but it's what he wanted," said White.

McGregor fought Diaz at 170 pounds, 25 more than his usual featherweight limit, at UFC 196.

"He was obsessed with fighting Nate Diaz again," said White.

White said Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar would also meet on the UFC 200 card, with the winner then taking on McGregor for the featherweight belt regardless of the Irishman's result against Diaz.

Is he on a wind up?

Conor McGregor, the reigning UFC Featherweight champion, has announced his retirement on Twitter at the age of 27. "I have decided to retire young," he wrote. "Thanks for the cheese. Catch ya's later."

Given that the Irishman, who goes under the sobriquet 'The Notorious', was tweeting on Monday about training at Mjolnir MMA club in Iceland, plus that sign off, the announcement with no further confirmation has been greeted by doubts about its sincerity if not its authenticity. There are suggestions too, among the 43,000 accounts that have retweeted it, that he may be the victim of hacking.

The Dubliner, who was defeated by Nate Diaz at UFC 196 in Las Vegas on March 5, had been due to take on Diaz again in the re-match in the same city on July 9.

If he has indeed retired it would represent an extraordinary climb down from his camp's pronouncements in March. McGregor's coach, John Kavanagh, told 42.ie: "Conor chased this rematch. That’s how it has come about. He’s much more concerned about trying to give a perfect representation of his ability than he is about material things like belts or money.

"Conor believes that the last fight didn’t accurately reflect the skills and ability he possesses, so he's eager to address that. He ended up harassing UFC president Dana White and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta on a daily basis for a rematch. This is the fight that’s of most interest to him right now."
