    Ricky Hatton

Ricky Hatton has given the strongest indication yet that he will return to the ring, admitting to Sky Sports News that he is 'getting the itch back'.

Hatton's future has been unclear since he lost badly to Manny Pacquiao in May of this year, a defeat that left him horizontal on the canvas for several minutes after the fight.

Having gone 10 years without tasting defeat, the Pacquiao loss was Hatton's second humbling experience in the space of two years after he lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr, and it was predicted that he may not fight again.

However, the Manchester-born fighter recently made a guest appearance on WWE Raw, and he admits the roar of the crowd relit the fire inside him.

"It was brilliant and I must admit, when I got into the ring and heard the crowd roar, I started thinking to myself 'I've missed this'" Hatton told Sky Sports News.

"Who knows, next year after Christmas and New Year, and after the holiday I've got booked for January, I might have a serious think about what I'm doing.

"Seeing [brother] Matthew and all the lads I'm promoting be successful has given me that itch back.

"Hearing that roar and seeing my fighters succeed, I might give it another go."

Hatton's current record stands at 45 wins, 32 knock-outs, and two losses.

...............CLEARLY HATTON IS AFTER ANOTHER ASS WHOOPING............

Who would he fight though? The only fight that makes financial sense is a bout with Khan.

What's the point? He had the big fight and failed. Unless someone up and coming wants him as a stepping stone fight, Hatton's not going to get anyone decent is he?

100% certain he'll fight again, as said above he's still big box office and could earn himself another fortune.

Purely financial though, in an ideal world he'd have a good retirement.

while he will make a fortune for sure as i mentioned its not as if he 'at a guess' needs to fight with 'team hatton' and his promotions arm seems to have some good advisors round him.

Should have a fight with Khan, no other big names would want him, maybe Cotto?

If he does come back he really needs to forget anyone at 147.

This is why he shouldnt come back, he's already been the best at 140, he wont beat anyone decent at 147. So whats the point?

Theres some decent fights out there, Marquez, Khan, Casa, Diaz, Bradley etc but meh, enjoy your cash and get fat(ter)

It would be one fight too many - hope he stays retired.

"Needless to say I was knocked down twice in the first round, (against Pacquiao) I couldn't have had a worse start, but in the second round, until he caught me with that last punch, I was winning it by a country mile and I think even Manny himself commented that I hurt him a couple of times"

Quote from Ricky on Friday night regarding the Pacman fight.

                              Perhaps he wants a rematch
