Maybe the break will have done him good but his style does not age well at all. Dont really see the point, he'll beat some alright guys and lose to the best again but if he's got the desire back it's up to him.

he's back for 3 fights IMO. a warm up against an opponent hand picked to ease him back in and give him the confidence boost. then amir khan before a final shot at a "big name" - pacman or mayweather again. good 10 mill in his pocket and retire again.

I really doubt he will he fight either of those two again. If there was a slim chance it would be Paqiauo. He is on the decline too, and seems to be looking for fights to avoid Floyd.

i just dont see the point of coming back otherwise. hes fought everyone else and won. these are the 2 that he will want another shot at - but only IMO if he beats khan. the downside is if khan beats hatton then he'd be the one wanting a shot and the star guys.

Not a chance in hell will he fight Mayweather or Pacqiuao again, he'd get destroyed.

Why would they fight him? any chance of a 7figure fight for him will be against Khan.

The father of Ricky Hatton was arrested for attacking the former world champion the day before the British boxer announced his comeback.

It is understood Ray Hatton, 61, was arrested by police on suspicion of common assault of his son and given a caution after a heated argument in a car park.

The incident occurred outside a gym in Manchester on Thursday, the day before the younger Hatton announced he was coming out of retirement, more than three years after his last fight.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly before 11.45am on Thursday, police received reports that there had been a fight involving two men outside a health and fitness club on Market Street, Hyde.

"A 33-year-old man was assaulted by a 61-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of common assault and subsequently given a police caution."

Police say the 33-year-old Hatton was not injured in the incident with his father. Hatton won world titles in the welterweight and light-welterweight divisions and has a 45-2 record.

Apparently Michael Katsidis or Lovemore N'Dou are two of the name mentioned as possible opponent for Wicky.

Fight is also, apparently, going to be shown on the PPV channel Prime Time. If you've not had any dealings with them before all i can say is that they're ****ing cowboys.

Surely Katsidis would be a bad move for a first fight, he loves a brawl and not surely that's something Hatton doesn't want, certainly in his comeback fight.

I think thats coming from Katsidis not Hatton. He is after one last pay day and his last couple of fights have been Lightweight anyway.
