He never bottled that, no way. He choked on a couple of shots in the third set, particularly one on set point when he had half the court to aim at and stiffed it into the net, but otherwise no complaints against the best ever at the peak of his powers. No player lives with that, not even pre-injury Nadal. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

There's no way you can convince me that Murray's bottled it. Federer has just had one of the best tennis matches of his career. It was perfect. When you're the greatest player in the history of the sport and you're at the top of your game, nothing the opponent can do will stop you. Murray could do nothing but try to keep up, he made some errors but it happens every match. Roger's game was perfect.

some of federer's shots were sublime.
Murray will win a grand slam for sure.......he has the game.
Federer had only one 1 grand slam by Murrays age so plenty of time for him_____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?
Think we have the answer..Slot!!

You're being a bit harsh on your British hero.
Murray didn't bottle it. He was outclassed by the greatest player to ever grace the game.
There's no shame in losing a grand slam final to Federer, who was always the heavy favourite.
Murray is still only 22. Given his natural talent he's bound to win a grand slam or two at some stage of his career.
I do agree with what Becker said on the BBC, Murray needs to be more agressive in the big matches rather than sitting back waiting for opponents to make an error.A humble guy with healthy desire.

Of course he didn't bottle anything, tis just a wee joke that gets used when talking about British tennis players.Originally posted by Reece View PostStop all this ****e about him choking and bottling it ffs. He's lost to arguably the greatest player ever and there's no shame in that.
It goes back further than Henman anyway, it started with Jeremy Bates
