            Sounds a bit like Premiership Football.

            Ice Hockey...a game i always think should have a bigger playing area, the speed the skaters cover the ice would allow for this....and it would get a bit more tactical i feel....slightly bigger goals to allow for shots from distance, etc.

            Ok i'm basically inventing a new game here now...lets call it ' Twice Hockey', as it would be played on a rink double the size of normal hockey.

                There aren't exactly breaks in play either. They are called faceoffs and happen when the puck goes out of play, there has been a penalty, goal or the goalie holds onto the puck. Its certainly not like NFL, basketball or baseball in terms of breaks in play.

                That sounds about right, not everyone is going to like every sport, this one is definitely not for me.
                We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

                            Ice hockey is great. And the only real similarity it is with hurling, which is I assume the Irish sport you are referring to, is that it is a fast game played with sticks.

                            The final was fantastic. Glad the Canadians won after nearly throwing it away.
