The thing is can you really calculate for that? What proof is required that the side batting second knew their innings would be truncated? It's rarely something you can be totally certain about so what level of certainty is required before the total is amended?
Also, if people are aware the second innings will be cut short, then should fielding restrictions still last the first six overs?
And the ball is much easier to hit when it's new and hard.
And so on.
Basically they need a scoring system that stops people playing 20/20 cricket and gets them on to road bikes.
