Fantastic opening day. Aussies 98 all out and Englland 157 for 0 at close of play. Just need hodgson to get sacked today and it would be the perfect day
tbh, with all the goings on at this time of year, i forgot the bloody match was on, then banged on the tv soon as i got up this morn..afternoon, ish, and caught the sports headlines, "and here's Alistair what's his name with news of the test" he said....oh **** i thought..here we go....battered i bet....then.."And a dream start for England in the 4 test...Aussies out for under a ton...England already on a hundered and something nice, well my.. twice i but
I watched the first session last night. Very impressive by England.
Obviously the decision to drop Finn was entirely justified by events.
I'm going to try to watch the first session tonight and, I hope, go to bed knowing England are batting themselves into a winning position and will retain the Ashes.
Then I'll be able to ignore cricket for 2½ years, which is as it should be.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
I stopped watching when Hussey had just got out and actually texted my brother saying we had just lost the ashes Was out for the day then found out after the end of the days play what the score was.... Horrible stuff.
