Beer snakes, beer in those cruddy paper carriers and Mexican waves, my best memory of the summerOriginally posted by Fernandinho View PostBTW. Beer snakes are the best! Fondest memory of the New Years test at the SCG is the crowd. Gives so much more to going to the games other than the actual action out in the middle
Andrew Symonds getting utterly ripped apart by Kent fans for not signing an autograph for a kiddie comes a close second

Yeah, I think you get percentage refunds based on what you see. I am pretty sure we got about 20% back... I am also pretty sure my mate who organised everything has never passed this on to me!Originally posted by Fernandinho View PostDo you get your money back if a certain amount of play is missed due to weather in England? The fact that I flew down to London, got a hotel etc. made it a pretty expensive trip to see 15 overs of test cricket. However, these are the chances you take I suppose.Modifying post.

Haha, no way... I can't remember if we went on a Friday or Saturday... It was definitely a day where wickets tumbled though. As you quite rightly say by the end of the day pretty much anything could be going on. There were about 4 streakers as well that day, and when the Windies were fielding we were behind Corey Collymore and he dropped about 3 catches which was brilliant. One thing you don't realise on the tv, but when the ball is in the air going to a fielder the crowd are giving the fielder **** loads of abuse. It can't be easy to clear your mind and take the catch.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostUncanny - was it this day?
That was the last Test I went to. The Friday at Old Trafford. I was in the thick of the beer snake....****faced.
(I took this pic, I'm not in it
)

Bell got out on 97 in the morning and then we bowled them out. **** loads of wickets too.
All I remember is we stayed in a Holiday Inn and ended up having a row with a dwarf at the end of the night... True story.
Nb. Thinking about what happened, I am sure Pietersen lost his wicket because his helmet fell onto it or something bizarre like that...
Found it - we were there this day, the day after you..!

That looks great just being sat on the hill as opposed to in a stand.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostModifying post.
