Lets face it if there are no credible alternatives he may as well take a fight that will generate most cash.

As much as the pundits have said there is no point in a rematch you can trust Haye to be able to talk the talk before the fight, even if he cant walk the walk.

As I said earlier, I also think there remains that chance, albeit slight, that Haye could KO him with a couple of huge right hands. I know that's basically heavyweight boxing in a nutshell, but Haye has the power and speed to take him out.

well as you say, there is always a punchers chance in that division. I would have thought his trainer Adam Booth would ahve learned from this and come up with a better strategy next fight,

8/10 Wlad would win, I reckon, but the rematch would be worth buying into. Also as you say there's **** all else on offer for either fighter.

Klitschko remained like this in the build up to all his fights, even the build ups to the fights with Haye that failed before when they couldnt reach agreements. He's just a different person to the classless Haye. Haye however has been classless in his whole career, including the Harrison fight ("it'll be more one sided than gang rape").

He chooses to get interest by being this way, other fighters don't. Don't make excuses for his behaviour, this is what he is.

Very true, but when it so blatantly fails to achieve anything, and the opponent is so classy in comparison, it makes him look like a cunt. And as you say, some of it went too far, outside the boundaries of the pantomime convensions and is worthy of scorn. It's supposed to be a noble sport, not WWF or whatever it's called these days.

When have I said you "shouldn't dislike him"? I couldn't care less whether people dislike him or not, I just find it a bit ridiculous that people get so worked up about his trash talk. My FB feed was *full* of irate people stamping their feet about his "classless" comments.

One of them - a man in his 50's - was so irate that he got into a barney with Pablo1981 which led to him deleting his comments in a fit of rage

The only point I made today was that the people attempting to belittle his achievements by calling him things like "a fraud" and "a loser" are barking up the wrong tree as he's been a successful boxer with a good record.

The majority of the trash talk stuff has been in retaliation to people complaining about the abuse he's getting.

I've got no problem with people supporting Haye, thats what I mean, what I've got a problem with is people telling those that don't support him to support him because his comments are only a bit of fun. I personally don't think that his comments are necessary, but I accept he's not the first and won't be the last to talk ****e. He obviously does it because money is the overriding factor for him and its the eastiest way to get interest in a fight, whilst some sportsmen don't resort to that and simply have a desire to be the best that they can.

But boxing is a law unto itself and can hardly be compared to other sports. If he plied in his trade in any other sport then his comments would be completely unacceptable. Like it or not it's the way it is in boxing. People don't have to like it and lots don't - I don't exactly love it although some of his stuff in the build up was pretty funny.
