    F1 2011

New season starting on the weekend, think Red Bull have this in the bag already

    F1 2011

Australian GP on Sunday, I honestly can't wait now. Been a strangely quiet pre season, and if the press are to be believed, Ferrari are the winter winners, completing the most test mileage and having an all round bulletproof car, with arguably the best driver on the grid.

Red Bull are looking handy as well, saw on the practice this morning that the car looks like its on rails - no real effort for the drivers to drive it, so they're going to be awesome again, as Newey cars always are.

McLaren - terrible over the winter but they might have pulled out something with their rehashes. Lewis Hamilton's press releases sound a bit Pepe Reina / Torres-esque though. Can't see him there in the long run.

Schumi has had a car built just for him, he may well pick up some wins this year.

Anyway, can't wait. Predict a Red Bull win on sunday and typically dominant qualifying performance from them, with Alonso pushing them all the way.

It'll also be interesting to see how Brundle does as the main broadcaster. I do love his commentary style. Top man.

      I thought I'd start a new thread... F1 2011

Reckon Nando might have something to say about that....

Guess there's no F1 fans here then.

I was nearly right with the qualifying, RB looks hugely easy to drive compared to the others.

Yeah I am a fan, been busy lately but. I knew qualifying was on today but I was working all day. Unfortunately I am going to miss the first race because it coincides with a celebratory drinking session.

          Forza Ferrari!

I was Intervention Marshall for Abu Dhabi GP last year. Schumacher crashed into Liuzzi right in front of me.

              Harsh on Vettel that.

The lad is at the top of his game, yeah the Red Bull is the car to beat but to say its easier to drive is overdoing it.Webber didnt find it that easy

Vettel just blew everyone away today, hats off to the guy.Half a second faster than last years pole with 10% less downforce and without using KERS.Phenomenal lap from the man

Not disparaging Vettel, just commenting on how well designed the RB is, Newey really is a genius. And yeah, Webber didn't find it as easy - but does he have exactly the same car? Vettel is arguably the best qualifying driver since Schumacher at his peak.

Did you see apparently his and Hamilton's KERS had gone as well? So he's qualified best part of a second ahead of Hamilton with no KERS?! And he would be carrying that dead weight too, something else...

I didn't watch the qualifiers today.. But I read there is some problems with Pirelli tyres as they seem to be a bit of an unknown with a high level of wear and degredation.

can not stand schumacher. Thought he might do well. Good to see him struggling, whilst the young pretender rosberg does better than him, in a f1 that is designed for micheal.

Finally F1 is in HD. The super slow mo's are going to look great. I caught a few mins at end of qualifying and it looks like Vettle already has a march on the rest of the field.

They've been asked to make them a bit ****ter than last year, higher degradation to make the races more interesting. Apparently (and this is as exciting as life gets) there may be up to 4 stops tomorrow.

The Bridgestones were too good. They didn't really need to stop even with the softs

Good start from pole for Vettel and Hamilton is holding off Webber
