I was going to write a line about only liking it when Minor Sports get the win (Cycling) But I thought it would annoy too many people and then they focus on that

Im all for raising awareness in smaller sports though. But I think the BBC could do a better job of it than sticking on a bloated awards ceremony.

    Grandstand anyone?
    *Except Michael, who died.

I'm sure you're right but the profile is good. I don't watch it of course. Terrible programme.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I'll be rooting for Murray today. It feels like it's "his time", he's paid his dues and stopped playing scared in the big matches this year.

Is everyone staying up for it? If it goes close to five hours we could be looking at a 2am finish

Five GS final defeats (out of five) would be really hard to stomach.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

            History beckons.

If he wins he is the first Brit to win a GS in the open era..
If he loses he will be the first player ever to have lost their first 5 GS finals.

I think he can do it, but I'm not confident. I really hope he can win. He totally deserves it.

              How does he 'deserve' it?

EDIT: That probably comes across as aggressive but I'm not having a go. I just don't know what you mean.

What channel is it being shown on and/or are there likely to be decent streams?

                    Ill be staying up.

I reckon (heart over head) it'll be Murray in 4 sets.

                      Probably Sky and Eurosport.

I'll watch it until the end, definitely. If this match ends up being anything like that AO semi, it'll be a classic.

It's on Sky Sports 1 from 8pm (play at 9pm) and there will definitely be some good streams.

                            Heart says Murray in 5.

                            Head says Djokovic in 4.

WARNING: Sky Sports has Greg Rusedski as an expert. Grating is a good word.
