I 'like' Andy Murray on Facebook and often the comments under his posts are pretty funny, especially from Africans and Hispanics who all seem to refer to him as "Murray"

The Liverpool page on Facebook is hilarious for comments like that.

I'm ok - got some sand behind the eyeballs and I've certainly slowed almost to a halt this pm workwise. Not looking for the food and bedtime malarkey with the kids as I work from home.

Thank feck I didn't have any wine to hand last night or I'd be well and truly scuppered.

After such a win in the US Open, who could blame Andy Murray for wanting a good meal? The Scot toasted his first Grand Slam with around 30 friends at Hakkasan in New York last night.

After beating defending champion Novak Djokovic in five sets at Flushing Meadows, Murray arrived at the exclusive Chinese diner about half an hour after closing time, and the staff happily opened the doors to the new champion. It was worth it. Murray’s party went through 17 “Zesty Martinis” at $255 a bottle and two bottles of Louis Roederer at $396, racking up $6,448 in the restaurant’s Ling Ling bar with a tip of $1,289 — and that was before they started in on the spicy prawns and roasted silver cod.

Murray also left a signed copy of the menu to staff. He only drank a lemon soda for $6.
