I think Bopara might have used up all his lives now at test level, just not good enough for me.

I dunno if you can feel frustrated on 613 - 6.

It's more that you want to see how someone like Bopara could play. Nothing learnt here. Also I'd rather a decent partner around for Cook - I want to see him get some sort of comical total and a better batsman at the other end would help that I think.

I agree on Bopara, but it was guaranteed that wickets would tumble as you said for whoever came in after such a long stand. Shame for him, can't see how he will ever get himself into the batting lineup as things stand.

Ultimately he seems like a Graeme Hick type character, loads of talent, but not quite there at test level.

Anyway - at the Lancs match the other day - one of the lads from our local was there with his mates and was pretty pissed....

he was dressed as a storm trooper.

at some point during the match - the lancashire mascot, not sure what the costume is, but anyway, there is someone dressed up big in one of those mascot suits...the biig like 7ft costumes

My mate runs on to the pitch and starts ****ing about with the mascot....He then rugby tackles it and slams the mascot into the ground - he stands up - the crowd are going wild.....then the mascot stands up and takes the head pieces off


It's some little blonde girl in there, who is about 5ft - my mate just assumed it'd be a bloke in there which is why he slammed the mascot haha..

Whilst it is perhaps fair comment from Warne England's tactics have proven to work recently. Grinding opponents down has been very effective. In a way their job is to win rather than entertain. Everyone seems determined that they are constantly doing something wrong but their results are proving them right most of the time at the minute.
