Not really surprising. Wozniacki needs to take her game to the next level if she wants a chance at winning slams. Think it was too easy for her to get to No.1, she feels no need to change her game because of it.

Think Sharapova has a great chance of taking over the tour. Williams sisters on their last legs, Clijsters retiring soon, no one else is really stepping it up. There's some good young players developing, but they're not close to the level of a prime Sharapova, if she can still make an appearance.Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostWell it's wide open then this year. Venus Williams needs to hang up her tennis shoes as she's clearly not fussed any more. Some of her strokeplay today has been dreadful. I've seen at least 4 winning volleys hit long, way long, out of frustration.

It's amazing how the game has developed over the last 10 years. They were going on the other day about how much older the average age of the top 100 players is, with nobody under 20Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostShe needs to develop speed. Big game but way too slow.
Nadal's suffering, it's Andy's year
