It's quite an exciting race though. Loads of attacks and if they're not careful, there may be a break away (which they won't want if you're in Cavendish's team). Though there's a looong way to go.

This could have been very costly. A big dog ran across the road, and back again, in front of the main pack of riders. Luckily, everyone avoided a collision... and a spectator who stepped out right in front of the peloton too.

Gap is increasing for the leaders (6 mins or so) and it's got to be worrying for the GB team now.

Well the group in the lead still have around 5 mins or more over the peloton and Michael Rodgers is in between after attacking 10kms or so away. Cavendish can't climb, so it's the worst part of the race for him, as team GB will be banking on clawing back that lead after Box Hill.

It's still early days so I don't think they're in trouble yet but there are still around 4 climbs of Box Hill left.
