Just saw Cavendish on the news snapping at David Bond. Bond asked if their exertions in the TdF had a bearing, and Cavendish walked off and said 'stop asking stupid questions. Do you know anything about cycling?'

A major criticism for the BBC's coverage of boxing - why on earth don't they show the scores during the rounds? It has totally ruined my enjoyment of the fights I have seen and I know the scores have always been shown in previous games.

They've changed the way scoring works last Olympics it was computer based, now they are back to 3 judges.

So why not follow the break away pack and let them take the wind resistance? How was it the guy who won was able to win?

That's assuming you are immediately behind them when they make their move. If you aren't and nobody else in the peloton chases you won't be in their slipstream until you catch them and have a very difficult tactical decision to make. Suppose you make great effort to catch them and they end up rejoining the peloton later? Lots of energy wasted for **** all.

i used to love seeing how the judges were scoring the fight, and it helps to prevent any "strange" outcomes at the end of the fight.

i love the olympics/amateur boxing. its true and honest. lads going all out, non of the titting about that you get in the pro game.

It's not the BBC is it - it's the new Olympic thing and applies to all broadcasters.

Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere yet but Danny Boyle snuck in more references to the Olympic Ceremony that most didn't notice.

During the part where Emile Sande (sp?) sang Abide with me and references to the FA Cup were made there were 96 Dancers.

I watched that again last night and paused it on the dancers. I counted about 55 not 96. More Twitter bs it seems.
