Me and a mate were discussing the other night about favorite track and field events.
I said 400m for the track and field was Javelin purely because I loved the battles between Steve Backley and Jan Zelezny in the 90's

Pah, Steve Backley was just Phil Taylor with bigger darts and less accuracy..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I used to love watching Wilson Kipkeeter run the 800m, and Hicham El Guerrouj in the 1500m, awesome athletes.
It's obvious, but my favourite was just watching Michael Johnson run, I was in awe of him every single time.
For some reason I always preferred Mick Hill to Steve Backley too, he just seemed more down to earth and less arrogant
Oh Steve Smith in the high jump too, loved him.Comment

800m and 1500m for me. Used to love Seb Coe in the 80s.
