ref ruined that game but Wales should have taken their chances, whoever plays them in the final should win at a canter.

I'm never sure about the idea of the referee ruining a game by sending someone off. The rules make it clear that you can drop someone in a spear tackle - not just driving them into the ground - and it's still dangerous play. And apparently the referee boss in the IRB has made it clear that any spear tackle is a red card. Still feel gutted for Wales but I ****in hate the macho rugby horse**** about fights, gouging and danger tackling. Noone wants to appear "soft". In front of a group of men who have seen more naked men and frolicked more intimately with them than your average vietnamese rent boy.Felching ≠ Gerbilling

You do that and you run the risk of seeing a red card (for a good reason). Its like a two footed challenge in footy, you might not injure the opponent, but theres a good chance the ref might send you off. He made the decision and he alone is to blame for wales crashing out. They were by far the better side and were on top, why he risked something like that is incredible.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!
Out, out, out!

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I have no sympathy for you. Try following England..

Can't stop thinking how much Wales would have been humiliated by New Zealand.
Neither can I.

It wouls have been a better final seeing Wales take on the All Blacks.
France are the worst finalists since England 4 years ago. Knowing the French though they will pull a performance from somewhere and keep the Kiwis on their toes. New Zealand with Dan Carter I would have as an easy win, without... I'd still have them as comfortable... But you just cannot predict what the French will produce. Looking at how prickly they were post match you can tell they know they were lucky on Saturday...
It was hard not to feel sympathy for the Welsh, they did everything but win that game. I still have no idea why Stephen Jones didn't take the drop goal on with about 5 mins to go... Staggering decision.Modifying post.

Yes, the worst finalists since the last final was played.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostFrance are the worst finalists since England 4 years ago.

It seems to me that indicates the Rugby World Cup final is regularly sh*t or "devalued" if you prefer..

Can't argue with that.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostYes, the worst finalists since the last final was played.

If you can survive the groups you are basically 2 performances from a final. The lack of quality teams leaves the competition slightly restricted...
Saying that there have been some great games, its just that France haven't performed in any off them.Modifying post.

Of course NZ would have beaten Wales in the final. But it would have been a cracker of a game... Actually looking forward to the Australia game on Friday now. Just need to get a TV in the office.I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.
