Sky didn't bid for it because there wasn't money in it for them. They have cut back drastically on boxing recently, a lot of it being on Sky Sports.

I'm surprised to be honest with you Alex because Mayweather v Cotto will do big numbers. I've always said that Mayweather, Manny and Cotto are probably the 3 boxers with the biggest fan base. If you put Mayweather v Cotto together surely it will sell, no? Even if sky made it a pay per view event I still think they would've benefited, especially as Cotto is coming off a very good performance against Margarito. Add to the fact that it's at 154, a weight Mayweather has only fought at once. For me it should have been a no brainer for sky.

I can see the Bradley v Pacquiao fight being on boxnation too.

I wonder if sky will show the Khan v Peterson rematch?

One things for certain if in the future Mayweather were to fight either Khan or Pacquiao, sky would be all over it.

They've also got Froch back and they've signed a 'mega' deal with Goldenboy promotions. They're showing Matchroom and Hatton cards every other weekend. It's plain lazy to say that Sky have stopped showing boxing.

I like the look of Adrien Broner. I have seen a few of his fights now and you can see why many view him as the next super star. He clearly studies Mayweather as he adopts the same shoulder roll style as him. I think they even said on commentary last night that Mayweather is his idol. He loves to trash talk like him too and definitely looks like he's got plenty of charisma lol

I was impressed with Alexander's performance against Maidana last night. He looked very comfortable moving up to 147. I expected a more difficult fight but he made it look relatively easy.
