He got away well but was a bit deferential going into the first corner.

Agreed, at times this season he's driven that Ferrari well beyond where it should have been finishing as wellOriginally posted by Daniel 7 View PostAll behind Alonso now Hamilton's chance has (seemingly) gone.
He deserves the third title. We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

It is a strange move, as much as the Mercedes has been built up to be a good car it simply hasn't performed apart from in the 1 race that Nico won at the start of the year. Its not the most reliable of cars at the moment either. Only time will tell if it is a good move for Lewis though.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostHamilton has apparently signed for Mercedes and Perez is going to McLaren.
Quite shocked that Hamilton has decided to move, it can surely only be about the money
Will be good to see Perez with the backing of one of the top team to see if he can make the step up and look to start winning races nowWe managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

That's my thought also.Originally posted by rcasemore View PostHamilton has apparently signed for Mercedes and Perez is going to McLaren.

But then maybe he's been offered a good package and big investment in the team, maybe Mercedes are going to go at it with more determination, we'll see who else they hire in the near future, there shoud be no good reason why Mercedes can't be as competitve as McLaren have been.
So far though, the only reason i can see is money, or quite simply he just needed a change.Last edited by Vermilion; 28-09-12, 01:06 PM.

mclaren also wanted him to do more corporate work (he already does loads)
maybe with merc he can concentrate on driving more.
also the team members that Brawn has brought together are very talented and successful (just not as a collective yet)
also Merc is a manufacturer mclaren is a customer with the move to new engines there is a view that the customers will be at a disadvantage next season
