Haye's statement makes him look like a ****ing tool, like he is utterly blameless.

I mean FFS shouting your mouth off about how you are great at boxing then you punch with a glass in your hand and throw things and people.

    Box or STFU.

At least Chisora has had the common sense (no doubt from someone competent rather than his own doing) to issue a statement that tried to calm the situation and admit error.

It's not the clearest picture but would a glass bottle smash like that?

It honestly seems like a sugar-glass prop the way it smashed into tiny tiny fragments. No way would a normal glass bottle smash like that.

I'm not necessarily crying conspiracy but it does seem odd Chisora got away without getting any cuts on his face at all

Did it smash? Thought all that....er....stuff....was water from his bottle?

In a shot I saw, Haye was drinking a bottle with orange in it. It looks like a different bottle.

Same bottle but clenched fist with the bottle still in his hand as opposed to a full on glass in the face

That last picture is a little clearer. In fairness it does look like the bottle might not have smashed at all during the punch.

I don't believe the bottle smashed, Luckily for Haye! but so what if it didn't, it was wreckless and the actions of a thug not a pro fighter.

In this pic Hayes fist is to the side and just under Chisoras chin, putting the bottle more or less in line with his face/neck, it's not a bright move by Haye, regardless of whether the bottle smashes or not.

You go into a fight with a bottle in you're hand and your asking for trouble.

I think this was staged. I don't believe it was a real bottle that leaves not a single cut on Chisora and shatters to pieces on impact. The odds on not getting cut by a bottle to your face are slim at best.

But check that pic in more detail. You can see the label on the bottle clearly, it looks to be intact there, so the other bits you're seeing are the liquid flying everywhere.

I was suspicious (as I posted earlier) but this pic does seem to indicate the bottle didn't smash, hence no cuts.

The only person who got cut as far as I could see was Booth, but that was because Haye mistakenly smashed him over the head with a tripod

It's clear that the liquid has been forced out of the bottle on impact, splashing against the shoulder of Chisora and upwards into the air.

                      Definately not broken glass. imo.

Although as i've said earlier, the bottle breaking or not, doesn't take away the wrecklessness of his actions, if Chisora moves his head sideways slightly, the thick end of the bottle hits him in the face, and could have blinded him had it broke, and moving at such force and in the hand of someone so strong..he's lucky it didn't.. imo.

You can hear the glass smashing just as he hit him

Booth was on SSN yesterday and he insisted his cuts did not come from the tripod, which he claims barely glanced him.

Really ? As paplo says the label is visible under Hayes hand, but that photo i suppose could be just before the bottle breaks.

Suppose the only way tbs is if someone has a slo mo of the actual impact and a clear image of the bottle after, did he hit him again with it for instance, what happened to it after the shot we see above ?

David Haye ignores Munich police calls and heads for Las Vegas

                              • Haye wanted to answer claims of assault on Dereck Chisora
                              • Former WBA champion boasted on Twitter: 'its party time!'

David Haye has left London for Las Vegas, ignoring calls by German police to answer allegations of assaulting Dereck Chisora in a post-fight press conference in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The former WBA world champion, who fled the scene of the Munich fracas after Chisora threatened to shoot him, had not been seen until Tuesday, when photographers camped outside his London hideaway, and, with TV cameras trailing after him at Heathrow, celebrated his departure on Twitter with the boast: "Managed to shake off them bird watchers on M25! Jetting off to warmer climates. Its PARTY TIME!"

Remarkable pictures of Haye relaxing and smiling in his first-class seat on board the plane gave the strong impression he is unconcerned about the tumult still swirling about him.

But his situation has quickly gone from mysterious to perilous with the decision to take no heed of repeated calls by Munich police to give his account of the brawl he had with Chisora, who had just lost a 12-round decision to the WBC champion Vitali Klitschko.

Both risk prison time in Germany if the prosecutors decide to pursue charges of assault. They are considering taking action against Chisora for his filmed death-threats against Haye, and against Haye for grievous bodily harm, after he punched Chisora with a bottle in his hand.

Haye's trainer and manager, Adam Booth, cut on the head during the brawl after being accidentally struck by a TV camera tripod, insisted on Monday that Haye was happy to co-operate with the German police, but neither has made a move to contact authorities there.

Booth told Radio5Live: "David is still retired, he has no plans to fight again. He's always said the only people he would come out [of retirement] to fight is one of the Klitschko brothers and what happened on Saturday night doesn't change that one bit."

A few hours before his farewell message, Haye also re-tweeted a BBC interview with Dr Thomas Putz, president of the Federation of German Professional Boxers, who wants Chisora banned for life.

Putz also said Chisora was "absolute crazy" and would not be allowed to box in Germany again. This would be a major hindrance to Vitali Klitschko's intention to give the Londoner a rematch. "I still want to knock him out," Klitschko said yesterday.

Putz says in the interview he believes Haye was acting in self-defence when he hit Chisora and that he would have "absolutely no problem" with his fighting again in Germany.

Munich police underlined the fact that as Haye had not been arrested and there was no warrant out for his arrest that he was currently free to travel wherever he wants.
