Used to play basketball but don't really follow it any more - where does Kobe rank among Jordan, Lebron, Shaq, Magic, Kareem etc?

Right up the top man. Legitimately one of the all time greats and a mentor to so many young players. He's basically this generations Jordan. Some players that had to play today visibly really struggled with it.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostUsed to play basketball but don't really follow it any more - where does Kobe rank among Jordan, Lebron, Shaq, Magic, Kareem etc?
I absolutely hated him when he played, pretty much because he was so good. Shocked to the core by this news when i woke up."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

The Last Dance
I've been catching up on Netflix with this series about the Bulls 97-98 season.
It's a really good insight into what made Michael Jordan the greatest player amongst other things.
It's interesting how the other greats viewed him, especially after the Dream Team.
And if you need a bit of weird, there's always Dennis Rodman.
If you like NBA, this is a great watch.I don't need a lift, I need ammunition

Just the GOAT full stop. Paved the way for all the rest. Totally untouchable.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostI'm not really into basketball, but I'm looking forward to it regardless.
All I really know of him and his career was passing knowledge - a GOAT for the Bulls, the shoes bearing his name, and that break to play baseball!

That show made me get nostalgic and go back and youtube Jordan highlight reals...the stuff that man could do, it was almost slight of hand sometimes...if he hadn't taken two sabbaticals, he would be holding all the records, and for a long time to come...unless Zion can take the world by storm, that kid has so much grace for one so bulky!

This for me, my favourite is Magic but Jordan was a better player.Originally posted by Rich View PostJust the GOAT full stop. Paved the way for all the rest. Totally untouchable.
Zion will have to win titles as well as get the numbers to round it out. Lets see what his ambition and drive mount up to over 10 or so seasons. But I do accept titles aren't the only measure of greatness. That would make Robert Horry better than Magic, Kareem, Jordan and Pippen
I never knew how much Pippen got screwed over by the Bulls, on any other team he'd have been the main man.I don't need a lift, I need ammunition
